J Jukuri Spa and Salon — Local services in Houghton

In mid-May, I scheduled a haircut with a stylist and was offered an appointment in mid-August (around the 15th or 22nd). Although it was a long wait, I agreed, as I had been very pleased with my previous experience at your salon. I was also told that if an earlier slot became available, I would be contacted, and that I would receive a reminder a few days before my appointment.

Last week( beginning of august), I began trying to reach the salon by phone — I called on Friday, again on Monday, and was only able to get through on the third attempt, on August 13. When I finally spoke to someone, I was informed that my appointment was not in the system. Back in May, my information was taken, I was found in your client database, and my booking with the same stylist was confirmed. Today, I was told someone would follow up with me to clarify the situation, but I did not receive a call back.

I am very disappointed with this situation and the time I have lost waiting for an appointment that apparently was never booked.

The staff was able to cater the experience to our needs. They provided us with complimentary lemon water and tea with the use of the Relaxation Room. The bathroom and shower was also reserved for our use along with robes, towels, and slippers. It was such a peaceful and cozy environment to enjoy in between our spa services. I booked a facial with Samatha and am delighted with the results. I don't get facials often and asked for a lot of information so that I could see the results I was hoping for. Samantha was very patient in answering questions, attentive to my concerns and gave a great facial. I was visiting from out of town but I plan to go back to J Jukuri (and Samantha) the next time I visit.

I also booked a Body Glow with Christian. I was much less concerned about results with that service - I just wanted a nice, relaxing massage with a skin buff. Christian also did...
