Awesome place to purchase high quality SunBody Hats at a great price. Shop local!!! The employees were knowledgeable in their products and they provided ample assistance with my purchase. The store had a nice selection of both male and female SunBody Hats in varying sizes. After nine years, I returned to Casa Ramirez to replace my aging SunBody hat. My original hat was worn extensively outside in the hot, humid and often times raining weather of Texas. Up to about three months ago, this hat was a solid performer! It finally started to show its heavy use on the top portion of the crown, where I often use my hand to place and remove the hat from my head. The oversized hat was also a great defensive mechanism when it came to the preying yellowjackets and wasps. And for a faired skin person, this hat did it's job by providing great protection from the sun!!! So for a second time, I purchased the 6" brim, 5-1/4" Crown Gus Hat, which is hand made in Guatemala.

Walking into Casa Ramirez is like a blast from my past. If you are of Mexicano/Tejano heritage, you will definitely find something in here that relates to your childhood. Your abuelita and your parents definitely had some of these items floating around their house. I love to visit this place for the memories it brings but also to support a local business paying homage to authentic Mexicano/Tejano culture. There is a vast selection of items from art work, cookware, home items, clothing, games and books. The service is good. They will mostly leave you alone to peruse the items but will occasionally make conversation with you and answer any questions you have. Even if you are not familiar with Mexicano/Tejano culture, do not let that deter you from visiting this quaint gift shop. You may find exactly what you’re looking for.

We landed upon this shop by accident after checking out the next door vinyl shop. I’m glad we went in to check it out. Lots of authentic art and a great book selection. We had a conversation with the owner as we checked out and apparently her and her late husband had the shop since the 80s. Very nice shop with great ambiance.

Folk lore, tchotchkes and fine art always interesting. You find books, art hats, clothing, and fine art. Artesian objects From Mexico .
