Trash and overall HORRIBLE experience! I moved in to 2212 Dunlavy back at the end of December 2024 and it was the worst experience I've ever had at an apartment. The realtor who was supposed to be someone I thought was my friend because we worked together years ago but boy was I wrong! She leased an apartment to me that was full of roaches and I counted over 16 roach motels throughout the apartment. The vent in the bedroom was hanging from the ceiling, the dishwasher was FULL of rust and falling apart on the inside and there was a hole on the side of the dishwasher that allowed a rat to have entrance. The washer dryer was tapped together on the side and the floor was stained in some places. The outside of the complex did not have any trash dumpsters, only 3 trash cans like they have at a residence. The back of the complex was filthy and had an overflow of trash. I only stayed there 2 days and moved out after all of the above and returning there after the first day there only to discover rodent urine and poop on the floor! There was also chewed Styrofoam from the rodent.The roaches were sooooo bad that during my brief stay i couldn't eat inside so I ate in my car. What really pisses me off is the female realtor who leased the apartment knew all of this but pretended that she knew nothing except for the broken down rusted dishwasher. She said she didn't know about the roach problem but in the same breath said they bombed the apartment TWICE before I moved in. She also told me that the apartment had been renovated but that was a lie. Everytime I would try calling her she never answered her phone but always had an excuse when I finally got in touch with her. It's taking everything in me not to expose her and this is still heavily on my mind to this day. Why lie and be deceitful so that you can make money off of someone? Read moreAlright - 1 month update!!!!! I truly love my apartment—the location is perfect and the space itself is great. However, I’m changing my rating from 5 stars to 2 because of a major issue: delivery access is extremely limited.
The building requires fob-only access, which means if I order anything—Amazon, Walmart, Shein, even Uber Eats—I have to be home and able to physically go downstairs and through two gates just to let them in. I can’t have guests come up on their own either, my college daughter is unable to come to my house unless I'm home - It’s incredibly inconvenient and outdated for 2025.
I suggested adding a keypad to the side door for easier access, but management said the owners won’t install one. I was also told that they mentioned before moving it was fob access (which they did) no other tenants had complained, which is frustrating because I've had gated access in previous apartment yet it was never an issue about deliveries AND the very first conversation I had with a neighbor was about how much they hate the delivery situation.
Again, I LOVE MY UNIT, and I truly see myself in that space for a long time but not being able to receive basic deliveries without jumping through hoops is extremely disappointing. In today’s world, this setup just doesn’t make sense.
So, if deliveries aren't an issue for you, you could easily experience a 5 star experience.
