Alright, let's talk about The Breakfast Klub—my official introduction to breakfast heaven.
Since it was my first rodeo, we aimed for a crisp 9:00 AM arrival, and boy, was that a stroke of genius! Traffic from Spring to downtown Travis was surprisingly cooperative—just moderate enough to make you feel proud of your planning skills, yet exciting enough to keep your driving reflexes awake. Now, locating The Breakfast Klub initially felt like a treasure hunt gone slightly wrong. We zipped past the building because, apparently, their signage strategy involves teasing newcomers with a decoy shipping container marked "The Breakfast Klub." A clever plot twist! Pro tip: cross the block once more, park safely, and stroll back over like you knew exactly what you were doing all along. The entrance drama didn't last long. Shockingly, we faced no line—clearly, the breakfast gods approved of our timing. Inside, menus aren't traditional paper—you scan a code at the door, and voilà! The menu magically appears on your phone. You're basically a wizard now, scrolling through and prepping your order before you hit the counter. Here’s where we went a little wild: Pork chop plates, complete with perfectly roasted oven-style russet potatoes, scrambled eggs for me, grits for my date, and an ambitious side order of French toast. And as if that wasn't enough, we boldly added extra pork chops—because clearly, moderation was not invited to breakfast. Let’s get serious about that pork chop, though. This was no ordinary pork chop—it was the kind that dreams are made of: thick, juicy, seasoned flawlessly, and tender enough to literally melt in your mouth. Honestly, I had an existential moment over a pork chop. The potatoes? Golden perfection. Scrambled eggs? Better than homemade. French toast? Let's just say it inspired my date’s spontaneous happy dance, which is universally known as the highest honor a breakfast item can achieve. Service? Absolutely stellar. Our waiter checked on us more frequently than my phone checks notifications—genuinely attentive, friendly, and committed to ensuring our forks never stopped moving. Atmosphere-wise, everyone was eyeing each other’s plates, mentally bookmarking their next orders. It was a communal breakfast admiration society in action, filled with nodding approvals and secret envy. On a scale from 1 to 10, I’m confidently giving The Breakfast Klub an 11—yes, they broke the scale. Would I return? Absolutely! In fact, it might just become our every-other-Sunday ritual, an official excuse to leave the house purely for legendary pork chops and French toast. Attached are photos because words alone don't fully capture the magnificence of this breakfast adventure. Trust me, your stomach will thank you...
Read moreThe Breakfast Klub is definitely a hole in a wall place of Houston, TX. On way there we thought it may have been it but we managed to past it. There is no sign on the building. If you use Google Maps it won't lead you wrong. I didn't believe it when I showed up. Parking is very limited, so use the parking garage down the road. This place is a must try in opinion whether you're visiting or live in the area.
There was already a line outside for a Monday morning. But do not let that detour you from this place. Everything you see on Yelp or Google maps is legit! We were super amazed by the hospitality of the staff and the local area. People were so friendly there to include the customers.
The management frequently checked on us to ensure were doing okay. The wait staff was awesome as well and constantly checked on us.
When you arrive, you wait in line, but the line goes super fast. Really it does go super fast. You order as soon as you walk in so make sure you're reviewing the QR code menu.
When you order they will give you a number and you pick the table that suits your party
They have two tables with fit two groups of 6 and the rest of the diner area holds 2-4 people.
They have mimosas, lime margaritas (good but strong), and variety of other drinks you can pick from the menu. Of you're worried about price of the food, I am going to tell you from my experience it was damn well worth it. All the food is delicious and cook very well to the point that flavor is just right. Not too greasy, not too salty, etc Everything was just phenomenally tasteful!
I bought the pork chops with eggs potatoes, and toast. I even bought an extra waffle that I had to take home because I was so filled up from the plate of food I had in front of me. For the pork chop plate you can get fried, grilled, or both. I chose the grilled pork chops. They were juicy, flavorful, and definitely not dry. The potatoes oh my gosh they were so delicious good!
My nephew and wife bought the chicken and waffles. For a kid he said it was the best chicken wings he has ever had.
My father-n-law bought the grilled and fried pork chops. He said his fried chops was delicious as well.
My sister-n-law and her husband shared a BLT, and man that thing looked awesome.
You can share plates too.
They do accept Google Pay or Apple Pay. They are with the 21 st century of technology and that electric system they have looks like it works well for them.
The way they have their business setup to order is awesome and it works really well for them. The amount of customers waiting to get in and how fast they leave is amazing!
I am definitely stopping next time I am visiting...
Read moreI think everyone knows that it’s going to be a wait to be seated, but they move quickly. The two ladies that greeted all us hungry guest outside were amazing!! I felt like they were my Aunties🤣. The food was good & hot. The staff was nice & welcoming & the inside was clean. Bathrooms need a remodel but I can say they were clean👍. We just moved to Texas & will be going back when we’re in town. We were really impressed by this black owned bizzness, look @ God 🙏🏾💜
I’m editing my review on 8/14/24. We went back to the breakfast club for the second time. Like before this place is the bomb! We ordered the same thing. Chicken & waffles. That chicken came out piping hot, just like I like it & everything was delicious! Now the food is really good but when I tell you the staff at this place is truly exceptional! I have never been treated with so much hospitality at a restaurant in my life. They really enjoy their job & the love is really genuine. We saw the same lady that was there the last time. I swear I want her to be Ma Auntie! What an Amazing, wonderful personality. I hate I didn’t ask her name but next time I will & ask for a picture with her. Keep up the marvelous job yall! It keeps us all coming back for more. Thank you
3rd visit- 8/31/24, another GREAT REVIEW! We are in Houston again this weekend so we got up super early to go to the Famous Breakfast Klub again! This time we both got chicken, grits, eggs, & a biscuit. We got there at 7:50am they open at 8 & it was already a long line. Our favorite Auntie (not really our Auntie but she makes everyone feel like their family) when I tell you I’ve stood in that line & watched her work that crowd with a smile & laughter, welcoming Everyone!! Now not to take from anyone else cause everyone here is Amazing!! Ok let’s talk about the food. It came out fast & hot & it was delicious. Please don’t tell Ma Mama I’m eating all this good food at The Breakfast Klub in Houston Texas & it ain’t her food, lol. The Grits were so good, the eggs were cooked perfect. Now that chicken is the BOMB. I got 3 leftover pieces on the table waiting on me. The portion of food you get is worth the price. That Biscuit, those kinda biscuits is what yo Big Mama use to make in the oven when you were little. We love this place & I definitely feel like I’m Family! If you’re visiting Houston this is a MUST STOP! Keep up the great professional work...
