This facility has a great concept, however, there’s a few things lacking.
I got this membership solely for the more “high intensity” machines provided (cycle, row, elliptical). The gears became almost impossible to change on the rowing machine. And it also became difficult to change the seat level on other machines often times. It believe this had something to do with the rooms being at constant high heat. Because of the nature of how this gym runs, you only have a few minutes between scheduled workouts to fix these problems, which often couldn’t be resolved in time. This results in you missing most of the workout. Another problem was scheduling. During C-19 only 1 spot was scheduled in each box (opposed to the 3 spots that will be scheduled outside of the pandemic). It’s very difficult to schedule a time frame that will work for you with the limited reservation spots. With this being said, there is no penalty for missing a scheduled appointment. That means people can go in and schedule a spot and then simply not show up. I walked into appointments multiple times early to find that all of the boxes were booked, yet no one was in them.
Lastly, their cancellation policy is frustrating. They purposely make it difficult for individuals to cancel by forcing you to come to the facility “in person” or sending certified mail to the facility to cancel the membership. I sent the manager an email at the end of February to cancel both me and my boyfriends membership. When I checked back today, he reminded me of their cancellation policy. He had the opportunity to just end the membership, but did not.

Read moreI had ACL surgery years ago and have had limited mobility & haven’t been able to sit on my knees or bend my right one fully ever since the surgery. I also found out that I was living and mold and needed a way to detox from it and read that infrared saunas help you sweat it out (go research it!).
After searching for infrared saunas in Houston and seeing they were about $50/session I didn’t want to pay for 5-6 sessions to test it out and see if it was worth it. Luckily, i randomly found HOTWORX which is amazing because it’s $60/month with unlimited sessions in their infrared rooms! So i definitely signed up for it because now i can do an infrared sauna session + workout at the same time. And sometimes, if i don’t have the energy, i will just sit in the sauna and not workout so i can get a good sweat session in and burn calories & detox - i can literally see the mold coming out of of my pores and I’ve read that so many heavy metals + toxins are released via sweat.
Side benefit?? When I am consistent, I have zero breakouts or acne! (I went three days in a row the week before my sisters wedding and put my face in front of the infrared panels to make sure my face would clear up perfectly).
Also, at the end of my first session, I could sit on my knees for the first time since 2014(a side effect i was not expecting)!! This proved to me the healing properties of the...
Read moreAlthough this gym, at first, seems to offer quite a lot for the money that they charge, after signing up, I quickly learned the truth. The sessions are set up in a sauna type room with a video that instructs the class, which is great. However, after joining, I quickly found out that the same video is used in the same type of class over and over again. When I spoke to the gym about it, they informed me that this is a common compliment that they receive and therefore, they roll out 1-2 new videos a month, however, there is only 1-2 videos rolled out across their 8-9 classes they offer, so you could have the same cycling video for multiple months before they will change the video. It gets boring and repetitive, very quickly. Their contract allows for an immediate cancellation however, getting a response from the right person was extremely challenging and when I did get a response, he informed me that I could not immediately cancel, even though it was clearly stated in the contract. I had to send an actual copy of the contract to him to clarify that I could in...
