I'm finally writing a review after having numerous poor experiences at the Heights location. They just need better training/management/common sense. They don't seem to have call waiting so you'll catch their busy tone if they're on the other line. I've been on both receiving ends where I can't get the call to go through OR I'll get placed on hold while they take in-person orders. This is normally acceptable, except don't put me on "hold" by putting the phone down on the counter where I hear you take everybody's/multiple in-person orders before returning back to me rather than completing the current order you were working on when I called and coming back to me before taking the next in-person order. Also don't put me on hold and completely forget to get back to me. That has happened more than a couple times. The longest I've been placed on hold was 16m 22s before they hung up on ME! Dafuq?? And when I come in to pay for a phone order, they should make it a habit to check the fridge to make sure the drinks haven't already been prepared instead of taking my payment and making me wait for a few mins before I have to approach you to have you look in the fridge to realize it's already been prepared before I even arrived. Aside from their OK service, their tea is still good, but has been a bit inconsistent lately, and their popcorn chicken has surprisingly improved over time. I'm looking forward to the new Teahouse that's opening in my area, hopefully their service will be better. In the meantime, I'll continue dealing with the...
Read moreOverall, I like this place and the variety of flavors and options they have… But for some reason at this specific location, I always have issues with my order. I get the same thing every time - a honey lavender cream tea with tapioca with green tea base - and the way that it’s rang up on the register is super inconsistent, which causes discrepancies with the price. Today, I qualified for a free drink with my rewards, and in the past I’ve never had to pay a cent when using this reward. When I was placing my order with the cashier she rang it up incorrectly, twice, and I politely corrected it both times. Once I used my reward I went to sit down and wait on my drink. However she called me back up and said that I owed 81 cents for adding tapioca (which she rang up as popping boba) - I know 81 cents is not a big deal but it’s just the principal of it. I asked why if I used my reward and she said because the jasmine green tea didn’t already come with it (because of the way she rang it up). I was disappointed but paid it, then once I got my drink found that it was still made incorrectly. The reason I’m so frustrated is because like I said this is not the first time my drink has been made incorrectly; I’d say it happens probably every other time that I come here. I don’t know if this issue happens to anyone else but just thought I’d share. Hopefully it doesn’t happen anymore because I’m a...
Read moreThis teahouse is a double-edged sword. On one hand, they truly excel in their core product: tea. The selection is vast, the quality is high, and I received my tea within 10 minutes.
However, the food side of things falls flat. The menu, while offering a variety of options, suffers from a one-note seasoning scheme. Every dish seemed to echo the same flavor profile, leaving me wanting more complexity.
To make matters worse, the wait for food was significant. While the tea service was prompt, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. This delay, coupled with the lackluster flavor variety, detracted from the overall experience.
The disorganization of the staff added another layer of frustration. While friendly, they seemed to be running around a bit aimlessly.
In conclusion, this teahouse is a great place to unwind with a superb cup of tea. But if you're looking for a satisfying meal to accompany it, you might want to consider grabbing a bite...
