After several months of eyeing Postino locations we finally made the trip to visit our first location, we chose the Heights. Read until the end ;) it ends amazingly well! I will be completely honest and say my first impression was not a positive one. We walked inside and from where we stood I saw maybe one table seated. Outside there were two tables seated, it was not busy at all. It took a good 5 mins before anyone came to the host area to greet us. We selected outside seating and just sat, and sat some more. It took almost 20 mins before anyone came to speak to us. Just as we were about to make our exit-Matthew came over. Matthew turned the entire experience around! Matthew apologized for the lack of attention and explained there was an internal miscommunication. Matthew made us feel like he was really excited and interested in being our server. He made wine recommendations and food recommendations. He was very attentive. The food came out within 5 mins of our order being placed. We spoke to the manager on duty, not to give him negative feedback, but to let him know just how great the turn around was. We wanted him to know that a negative review immediately turned into a positive review! Thank you Matthew and the rest of the Postino team for making a quick lunch date a great experience. We will definitely be back, because of the service and because the food was also delicious! Try the Chef's Charcuterie Board- the whipped goat cheese is something to write home about. The meatballs were also delicious!

To say that the service was appalling would be a huge understatement. I have driven past this place many times and have wanted to try it for a while. Finally made it in for lunch today. My boyfriend arrived about 10 minutes before me (12:15pm on a weekday) and was seated and asked several times (by multiple waiters) if he needed anything. After I arrived, about 4 different waiters walked by without saying anything to us and finally (after I had been there for 15 minutes) we flagged one down to place our order since we both had meetings to get to after lunch. Over the next 30 minutes, multiple waiters came by and asked if we needed anything (we had ordered and were just waiting, so no). Finally, after 40 minutes and watching everyone else around us get their food, we flagged down someone else and asked where our food was... Then she disappeared. The food finally showed up 10 minutes later with a manager profusely apologizing that the waiter had not put our order in and saying they would comp everything. That was also the first and only time anyone had asked if we wanted anything to drink besides water. Unfortunately, although the food was pretty good, the service was bad enough that I won't be back, even after they comped the meal. None of the waiters seemed to have any real clue what was going on with any specific table... They just all wander aimlessly around asking people if they need anything at random. So they're either asking you every 2 seconds or they disappear (along with your order) into a black hole. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Update: It's a no. Yeah, so this is my second time of crappy orders to go, which is really sad given that I had a long streak of great food, delivered in a reasonable time frame. First time my door dasher disappeared - he just sat in the same spot for 45 minutes. If you order online through Potino's website, there is no number to call if it goes sideways. I called Doordash and waited on hold for 20 min only to be told to call the restaurant, who told me they couldn't do anything about it because "it was third-party." My food was finally delivered cold, stale, spilled and an hour late. But it gets worse: The dessert had clearly been cut days ago and left uncovered because it was incredibly stale. The chocolate sauce had a thick green film on top of it, which has not been present in any of my prior orders. The nuts on the crostini were bad and the figs were so dried out they were unchewable.

Still, I thought, "So many good experiences, maybe it's just a one-time thing." So today I ordered $70 of food to be delivered. None of the extras I paid for arrived - no extra meatballs or crostini, both of which I paid for. No way to complain, because when you order online, neither DoorDash nor Postino's takes accountability for it. I am not calling to complain again - frankly, it should have been taken care of the first time, when the manager got on the phone and said, "Yeah, that order has been waiting a long time." I'm just not going to order again. Sad way for this to end, but I think $150 is probably enough to waste.

A consistently great experience! The food is excellent - high quality ingredients, always delicious, comes out quickly and the service is great even when it's busy. Great value for the money and the quality doesn't slip when you do pick up or delivery like some places do. I've been on a bit of a bruschetta board binge when I work late and it's always a great pick-me-up. My favorites are the bruschetta board, the meatballs and...

So amazing! I could eat the brussel sprouts salad everyday!!!!

👉🏾Update: Visited Saturday, June 26, 2021. This used to be a five star review. In fact, since our first day, there have been instances of poor service. Here's why it is no longer a five star review and why I am being clear about the issues encountered.:

Inattentive wait staff!!!!! We had to have our server tracked down and even then, I saw conversations regarding who was coming to our table of TWO. Not sure what that was about.

I witnessed a server playing with a dog and then immediately proceeding to pour water into the glasses of the guests without washing their hands. DISGUSTING!

FLIES! Everywhere! When brought to the attention of our server, she replies that it's just a problem that they have. No suggestion to remedy the issue, NO OFFER TO DO ANYTHING. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! Eventually the manager brings a citronella candle after we've eaten and at least 15 minutes after we first notified the server. It burns for 40 secs.

By the way, we are outside at Liberty Kitchen and we're not forced to cover our food with napkins to protect it from the flies. We saw one fly.

After all of this...I ordered an item to go--a bruschetta board. And to my chagrin...it was on the ticket. The total was over $100.00, so it's not about paying for a meal. It's about good faith and mindfulness of people's experiences. We had an awful experience. As a former restaurant manager, I would've comped something for these poor people who had a horrible time in our establishment.

Still not certain that this lack of concern wasn't racially driven...but...
