The place is cute, and I adored the Japanese decor, but I did not appreciate the discrimination we experienced here. My girlfriend and I were browsing when a worker suddenly came up and snatched the items from her hands. My girlfriend was in shock but didn’t say anything at the moment. I told the worker that we weren’t done and hadn’t even decided on the items we were holding.

We are both Hispanic and were wearing baggy clothes, and it was clear she assumed we were going to steal. The worker eventually realized her mistake, but the disrespect was already done. Despite this, we still purchased the items because she wasn’t the owner, just an employee.

However, her behavior was unacceptable. She disrespected a hardworking nurse by snatching items like that! We will not be returning to this store. Next time don’t be so...

This little shop is such a FIND! Alicia (the store owner) hand picks every item in the store from artisans around the world and brings them into her little cozy safe space for us to buy. She has a plethora of incence and candles (for real I had no idea all the different forms incense comes in). There are amazing beautiful (and some were SCENTED) cards and staonary goods.

The vibe of the store is a WHOLE character in itself! The store has a wall of windows illuminating the amazing minimalist interior. They are always burning some sort of majestic smell that always results in the tension leaving my shoulders.

What more can I say?? It's better than Nooks Cranny and is curated with the upmost care (for real the attention to detail on their gift wrapping is insane)....

Genara is my favorite boutique! I've purchase multiple gifts for friends and myself from them. The owners are amazing—extremely kind and generous and so thoughtful about their curation of beautiful, ethical and earth-friendly products. The shopping experience (both online and in-person) is excellent. Visiting their store always brings me a sense of peace and joy because it looks, smells and sounds (excellent music taste) so lovely in there! When I can't visit in person, the online experience is very thorough—their product descriptions are well thought-out and very helpful. My orders are always delivered on time (or quicker than expected), wrapped securely alongside a sweet personal note from them. So grateful to have a shop like...
