I got a photo frame from this Hobby Lobby and while putting the photo in accidentally popped the glass out (100% my fault) but the glass wouldn’t fit back in the frame and I ultimately broke it. I called to see if I could return the whole thing on the off chance and was told no but that they sell replacement glass.
I took the frame with me and got a replacement glass cut for it, explaining how the other one once it popped out was too big to fit back in, she was super nice and did cut it just a little smaller than the frame size.
However before I left I wanted to double check that it fit. As we were putting the glass in the frame, using there large cushioned table, the lady came out and told us we were not allowed to do that in the store, that I had to pay and do it at home/outside of the store. I don’t blame this lady at all she is just following policy but Hobby Lobby overall should look at how ridiculous this policy is. Who would want to buy a piece of custom glass just to take home and it not fit if you have the option of trying it in the store?
She did say that if I left with it in the frame she would have to charge me $10 for putting it in. So we had to take the glass back out and package it back up, which is 100% fine but it still goes back to how you should be allowed to verify that the glass actually fits the frame.
I love Hobby Lobby and shop here frequently for projects and home decor but this left a bad taste that they don’t want to do right by their customers, so I will look at shopping somewhere else...
Read moreEVERY TIME I go to this Hobby Lobby, it is an hassle and ordeal to check out. But on May 30, 2025, I finally had enough. 7 people in each line, 2 registers open. I had some fabric cut, and I go to check out. A male manager was there, and a female with a pasted smile on her face was standing monitoring everyone in line. They had other cashiers at registers counting money, and people were running to the open registers as the cashier yelled "This register is open". Any business that genuinely CARED ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS would say "I'll take the next person in line". I had waited in line 12 minutes, and someone in line for 2 minutes is checking out first. I handed my fabric to the pasted-smile woman and told her I am done! and walked out for the last time. There are other stores that value their customers. Hobby Lobby does NOT! Note to Hobby Lobby - take the customers waiting patiently for the longest period...
Read moreHobby Lobby is a fantastic destination for people who are looking for crafts, holiday decorations, and pretty ceramics to display. They also have lots of artificial flowers to choose from although the flowers there are very expensive. Just keep watching for their sales online and you can get whatever it is you're looking for at a certain percentage off. The thing with crafting stores is: they only have a limited amount of merchandise, so if you're patient, you can get whatever you're looking for at a more reasonable price if you just wait for it to go on sale. The Huber Heights store was just starting to put out their Christmas stuff--but you really can't get to it-- because the aisles are blocked by giant carts full of unopened cardboard boxes. Just give it a couple of weeks and then you can go early Christmas shopping for decorations and...
