Positive experience for my family, crazy to see 1 star reviews for this shop. We were driving from Illinois to New Jersey and stopped for a late lunch. I was wanting something that would keep me full but not make me feel tired and gross for the rest of the drive. I checked Google Maps as I drove and couldn't find anything. Saw Firehouse on one of those little blue road signs, perfect! I had a vegetable sub, wife did too, and also a chicken bacon ranch and triple something rather. I forgot to say no dairy when ordering, I said no meat and no cheese but didn't realize it had mayo. We got our food, I spotted the mayo, and thought oh no. I asked the lady who made them if they had mayo and she confirmed. I felt terrible, I made the mistake, I thought it just had deli mustard and didn't consider mayo. She was awesome and remade both sandwiches without mayo. That was extremely nice of her to do. The guy in the Dr. Pepper hat working the register was extremely nice. I should have told him no mayo. I don't get the opportunity to eat Firehouse much and didn't know what came on it. Anyway, thanks for remaking those, they were excellent! The kids really enjoyed their meaty subs too. It was a great stop for lunch. I drove another 8 hours with no problem. Felt great and stayed full.

As pitiful as it gets. Get to the counter and just get stared at by this nasty mannered girl. I figured I would even start and ask how she was only to be greeted with... "Do you know what you're ordering". Kind of set the tone for the rest of the experience. Nasty demeanor from her and no demeanor from the rest. The food was absolutely pitiful looking. Seriously the amount of meat on this sub was pitiful. This was only to be rivaled by it being grossly overpriced. $13 for what you see in the photo. We were there at around lunch on a weekend and there were only two or three other people there. I think that speaks volumes enough. As a firefighter, I'm actually embarrassed at the fact that they use us too promote this place. So to recap, bad service, bad food, bad pricing. Enough said.

UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER: Still happy with this place; way to continue quality service and clean restaurant. Very happy with how everyone runs this place and how great the food comes out. I love the soda machine; has so many options and flavoring choices that you're guaranteed to find something you enjoy. ORIGINAL REVIEW 2 YEARS AGO: Staff was great and joked with me. Food was fantastic and fresh. Don't have time for a long review but these guys are doing an amazing job. Clean place, too.

Love, love, LOVE this place!! Their is a beautiful little lady who works there with Down Syndrome, her name is Carlee and she is the SWEETEST babygirl in the world. I may be a bit bias because she's my baby sister but everyone loves her and she LOVES working there!! Sara, Kris and Kellie(the GM) are also the best! They have so many awesome people working there and their subs are SOOOO GOOD. I can't get enough of the cheese steak!!! They have so many different options that other sub places just don't have. I am very picky when it comes to my subs because I worked for a sub place for 7 years but Firehouse NEVER disappoints! If you ever meet little miss Carlee, make sure you say hello! She loves everyone 🥰

Side note: their pickle spears they give you with your subs are the BOMB. Best...
