Not sure how this place has so many good reviews but I would not eat here for free... Here are my two experiences:
Ordered Chicken and Brocolli for carryout. This is one of my staple dishes when eating Chinese. This meal was nearly tasteless. They gave me white rice when I specifically asked for fried rice and the meal was sub-par. I thought maybe the cook was new or confused because I was not satisfied whatsoever.
A few months later, my girlfriend and I decide to eat here because she wants Chinese while we're out shopping. I order a beef dish and she orders chicken lo mein for dine in. My meal is once again tasteless. Moreover, my girlfriend got what looked like chicken drenched in snot with rice. (Lo mein is a NOODLE DISH!) We politely confront them but the older woman at the register keeps saying that it comes with rice. I even showed her pictures and an online summary of what lo mein is. She refused to make another meal, saying we would have to pay for another dish. We throw our entire meals away and walked out.
I can understand mediocre food, but I will not tolerate indignation and disrespect. I will never go here again! Every other "Dragon City" in the Dayton area is at least passable food, so it must be the...
Read moreI've taken my family here about 3 times since the beginning of the year, and the food has gotten worse each time. I always consider that at a buffet style restaurant, you're rolling the dice, so to speak, on the quality of the food, but this last time pushed me to leave this review. General Tsao's and Honey Chicken should contain CHICKEN... not just the fried breading covered in sauce. Each piece had little to NO chicken in every bite. All other chicken options were basically the same, and the ones that contained chicken (sweet & sour) were hard and crunchy rather than easily editable. Positioning of the condiments is very poor. The ice cream toppings, chocolate, and strawberry sauce, along with soy sauce, sweet sour, etc, are all in one section marked with a handwritten tag. Don't let the kids grab their own, or they'll accidently use the ladle to put soy sauce on their ice cream. Atmosphere - Don't look up at the ceiling tiles. ( Note to manager - tiles can be easily taken down, cleaned, or replaced.)
Sadly, I will not be going back anymore unless there's a sign out front that reads, "Under...
Read moreDragon City in Huber Heights, Ohio is THE BEST, Chinese food delivery around. When I order from them it's always exactly as I request and it comes hot and fresh and quick. Not to mention, Delicious! I've ordered from Dragon City since we moved here in 2010, at least once a month, and I've never been let down. One night during the week, I called and ordered at 10:15. We'd had a hectic day and when we thought about dinner, we knew we wanted Dragon City but hated to bother them so late since they close at 10:30 but we just had to have it so we called and asked for delivery, with our fingers crossed. They came with the order at 10:55, and the sweet girl that always delivers to us said, she recognized our number and order when we called and told her boss, "These are our customers for a long time, we can deliver their order." I was like, Whaaaat!!? BEST EVER!! Thank you Dragon City for being the Best Chinese Restaurant EVER, and for taking care of your loyal customers. You set the Bar in...
