Once Upon A Child — Local services in Huber Heights

I sold items to this location about a year ago. I remember being shocked by what they offered me for brand new with tags items. I let it go because I didn’t want to mess with it. They didn’t take many items for “holes or stains” when nothing had them. They also said the brands don’t sell well. It was Cat & Jack. They gave me so little money that it’s not even worth my time. I just give my items away for free on Facebook now.

Here is why I am now leaving a review. I went shopping there this weekend and was throughly disappointed. I thought the items were overpriced based on what they buy then for and the condition. Even 50% off clearance was took much. Several pairs of jeans had obvious wear in the knees. Ya know… holes. Several items had stains. Several items were in terrible condition and I’m not sure why anyone would pay for it. Basically what I’m saying is they wouldn’t buy my brand new items and they sell heavily worn clothing. Had never been into a once upon a child until we moved here last summer. I purchased a couple of different times here. Went in early on a clearance day but found nothing in a 5T. Someone asked what I was looking for and then commented that they did not have a lot of clearance. Then the last time I was there I found several pieces on the rack that still had the colored plastic round tag that the goodwill uses. Are you buying from there on the .99 cent days then taking them into your shop to mark up and resell? If that is the case then shame on you! People who can't afford your mark up count on the Sunday sales at the goodwill. I get you have to make money but your store is completely overcrowded and hard to shop. I shop here pretty often for my 7 year old daughter. The store is small and can feel really cramped if it is busy. I can always find something for her here though. My only complaint is on the stuff they buy. I brought it a ton of winter clothes she had grown out of and they were in good condition. They bought maybe 4-5 of the 50+ items I brought in and offered me around $5.00. Now, don't get me wrong I wasn't really in it for the money because I would donate it if they didn't want it. But what gets me is some of the stuff I saw hanging for sale looked 10x worse and worn out compared to the items I brought it that they didn't want.
