I am a SERIOUS engagement ring shopper. My husband and I have been married for over 10 years and he is gifting me a ring upgrade. I am from Ohio visiting family in North Carolina for the weekend. My family member owns a business in Northlake mall and I was in town to assist her. I've been searching for a 2 ct + ring and have a 15k budget. I happened to pass by this jeweler and decided to go in and see what they had available. There were two men with heavy accents standing around in the back. One finally came out and I told him I am looking for an engagement ring, specifically at least two carats. He said they do not have any 2 ct's in their store. I then asked if they custom make rings and he replied yes and that I would have to call the owner later. In the meantime I asked if I could see one of the rings in his case and he said he needed to see my id. Never been asked that before but hey not a problem, I am a serious buyer and have zero criminal history. I show him my id and immediately he says no I'm not going to show you a ring because you are from out of state. Ok my mind was blown, SERIOUSLY!?! I would never buy anything from a place that treats me like a criminal. I realize the day and times we live in however I am a 50+ year old grandmother who has been a nurse for many years, I don't appreciate being treated with such disrespect. My family member who owns the business in this same mall will also discourage people from going to this poor excuse for a business. Save yourself the hassle, go to a jeweler who treats you with respect and appreciates your business. Shame on you for treating people this way. If you are that distrusting and afraid of the public then perhaps you're in the wrong business.
….in response to the reply to this review, no one was trying to “strong arm” your business. I’m simply forewarning others about your idiotic store policies and subpar customer service. I left your shop and went to Kay Jewelers and met Ed Booth who had superior, exceptional customer service and not once asked me for any form of id. I’m a firm believer that things work out the way they should, if I hadn’t had such a horrible experience in your store I would have not met Ed who was wonderful and went far beyond the extra mile. So thank you, you inadvertently led me to where I needed to go. And good luck to you…you’re going to need it having such horrible customer service with all the great competitors you have both brick and...

I had been planning this proposal for over a year, and with just one day left before flying to Jamaica (ring was delayed… supposed to have arrived two weeks prior), I still didn’t have the ring ready. Every jeweler I went to told me the same thing: my diamond was too big for the setting, it would take weeks, or worse—it couldn’t be done. One place even quoted me nearly $600 just to try… with no guarantee it would work.
I started to lose hope. I was anxious, stressed, and honestly a little heartbroken. I didn’t know if the vision I had—of putting that ring on my girl’s finger in paradise—was gonna happen.
And then came Victor.
He didn’t just help me—he restored me. He looked at the ring, listened to my story, and said, “We can make this work.” and within 45 minutes… he did exactly that. He placed my diamond with care, precision, and pride like he knew how much it meant to me.
His customer service? Unmatched. His energy? Calm, kind, and confident. I walked in anxious and unsure, and walked out with a full heart and the most beautiful ring in my hand.
Victor, you gave me more than a service—you gave me a moment back. A dream I thought I had to let go of. I will never forget that.
Thank you, from the deepest...
Read moreI went to Queen City Jewelers to replace a battery in my Sturhling watch on 9/10/19. I received a high recommendation from a prestigious jeweler who would have shipped it out for the replacement. It would have been over a week before it was returned to me. A different jeweler had difficulty removing the screws from my watch, but that was no issue for them and not only was my watch battery replaced, they also completed the repair of the watch case that I needed! They went above and beyond with their abilities, customer service and kindness! I truly can't say enough WONDERFUL THINGS about these AMAZING PEOPLE! If you need any jewelry repair of any kind......
