Showmars Northlake Mall — Restaurant in North Carolina

This is my update: August the 4rd, 2025 It's a slow day at the mall. The cashier seemed kind of bored and didn't supply any utensils with my fries. Like my last report I guess they have bad eggs. The young lady with the highlight on her hair was pleasant to talk to briefly. The one that was bored just kept on talking to her.

Oh the food.. You want to know how it tastes. It tastes the same. It's showmar but the fish sandwich shrunk from the last time I saw it at another showmar.

Like I said phone time. Oops did I say that? The place has the potential become a four star from me. But every time I go there I get a bad egg at the register. Not much of a welcome to showmar but more of your disrupting my phone time. Stopped by for a bite to eat. 8 always forget that they exist. The workers are hard workers with one bad egg working the section where you pick up your food. Manners please.. " When someone says thank you, after you slide the food to them, please don't grunt" You say.. "You're welcome... bad bah..bah.. " not a grunt.

On a side note, my chicken breast I make at home are thicker. I thought I would support small business. Maybe they should support their customers.

In all, the experience is as one would expect from a mall dining area business. As long as they don't swap sauce in their food tray as Lotus Express did a few weeks ago. That place has one ...

Stopped by for a quick bite. Quickness in getting food went well. Had chicken tenders. So bland . Problem we had was customer service. Young college guy behind counter seemed more interested in his tips than waiting on customers. Matter of fact while we were off to the side trying to figure out what to buy we noticed a customer college boy ignoring him. We ordered paid for food and when we got it. I noticed college boy was till eyeing his tips. when I got food I suggested that he may receive more tips if he were nicer to the public . He said with a snide remark. Thanks for that info. I also said that while in college he may want to take classes on customer service in how to treat people. He than threw his hands up and basically showed me away. Customer service is not his forte. By the way. Why us there a tip jar on the counter that says college fund. sounds like begging. To me. I also wonder if he shares money with those hard working guys...

I really like the service we get at this location. We’re from Detroit originally before moving to DAVIDSON. Back in Michigan we have many Greek restaurants to choose from. We discovered Showmars two years ago and my mother in law loves the original gyro style pita with fries. So I get the meal because I love the sweet tea as my beverage. The only thing is, they need to add more of the sauce in the sandwich, “really need to spread it out.” Other than that, meat has a nice taste to it. Fries are fresh.
