I think it's amazing that the former GM is able to harness me and my family waking ppl up at 10pm when quiet time id between 9pm to 7am and then you guys promised me a 100 dollars off my bill and yall giving me a bill for $285 due on Monday and yall wanna not even offer me a free week after all we have been accused of and when we complain nobody does anything. The other thing is believe i should get a free week because my sister had to pick up broken glass when she told the front desk iymt took them three days to pick it up the shards and this morning i found a method pipe which I tossed. The other thing i was told they were going to take $100 off my bill which they never did. I have paid every week with no problem we were told that $100 would be taken off and they never honored the agreement. If this continues I will take my business elsewhere. I almost stepped in dog poop inside of the stairs and they don't enforce ppl picking up after their dogs and trash everywhere. Then Chris told me I owe $285 due to Monday but we pay every week. That means Chris over charged me for the room my payment isn't due to Tuesday what I have complained about should be grounds to a free week they didn't even clean the room right and i have pictures they room looked and they kept a man in a wheel chair and blind on the third floor they tried telling these ppl.they had no rooms available on the first floor whi h was bull. I am not happy with the service and ppl are already talking about leaving and go.to extended stay. If yall cant get me a free week I will be taking my business to extended stay of america they I offered me 2 rooms for thw price you guys charge me for one. I feel I been taken advantage of this is not ok. I am giving a poor rating because my sister fell three cases of stairs and she could had broken her neck and Chris the GM didn't care nor did Brie all they cared about was their money and for that we WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE HOTEL IF WE WERE BLACK OR PUERTO RICAN IT BE DIFFERENT BECAUSE CHRIS IS ALLOWING THE GUESTTO SMOKE IN THEIR ROOMS AND THATS WHY THE FIRE ALARM KEEPS GOING OFF. He called the police on me and he watched me move he made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't appreciate it he needs to be fired because of his actions I will taking legal action against the hotel and Derrick will be in that suit because he went against his word and my husbands playstaion 5 and art supplies were stolen from my husband and Chris allowed someone to steal from him about $1,000 dollars wortb of stuff was stolen either i get reimbursed or im calling Charlotte police and pressing charges against Chris and the fact he threw out and syome from three disabled ppl. Unfortunately, my family and I had a horrible experience at this hotel where we were clearly targeted. Staff falsely claimed we had complained about our room and that we were given a room change — which never actually happened. Later that day, when we returned from being out, we found our room lock tampered with, our keys no longer working, and several of our personal belongings missing.
Multiple wallets were taken, including our IDs, credit cards, and health insurance cards. Designer items were also stolen — sunglasses, sandals — and my child’s Nintendo Switch was gone. We trusted this place based on the reviews, but this experience was completely unacceptable.
What made it worse was the lack of help from the staff. There was no manager on site, and the front desk woman, Chery, claimed to be from corporate but offered no real help. She didn’t cooperate with us, couldn’t even provide a proper contact or email to follow up with, and overall made it very difficult to escalate the issue. Honestly, it makes me question how often situations like this happen here and if that’s why getting in touch with corporate is so hard — maybe because they’ve had to deal with this before.
A police report has been filed, and we are requesting that the hotel contact us as soon as possible to resolve this — including a full refund, proper investigation, cooperation with police, and holding the individual(s) involved accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Unless you’re planning on bringing a personal lockbox and your own surveillance system, do not stay here. This place is unsafe, the management is nonexistent, and the employees...
Read moreUpdate: I received a public comment from the hotel saying they “take theft seriously” and asked me to call a number. I did — and the person who answered told me she couldn’t help because she wasn’t working there when it happened. I explained I had video proof and documentation, but she told me I’d have to escalate it myself and that there was nothing she could do.
So let me be clear: these replies are automated, and the hotel still does not take theft seriously. They have no proper management, no accountability, and clearly no intention of resolving issues — especially when it involves their own staff. Most of the previous workers were fired, which tells you everything you need to know. Don’t be fooled by their “we care” copy-paste responses — they don’t.
I recently stayed at StayAPT Suites in North Charlotte and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. During my stay, someone broke into my room while my family and I were out. We later found out that staff falsely claimed we had requested to move rooms so they could mark ours as vacant — which we never did. That’s how they were able to get in. Our door was tampered with, items were stolen, and we have video proof plus a police report filed. This entire situation made us feel completely unsafe, especially with kids involved.
