Premier Member of a Roach motel
Our Family Reunion Memories of multiple car police activity, ladies of questionable dealings (which I will omit expounding on) and THC/MJ Aromatherapy - oh and dried bloody boogers on the under sheets (probably still there for the next person).
After struggling to kill a speedy roach in our hotel room on the 2nd floor (of which I have pictures)...At just before Midnight.... we watched as the roach my husband chased for 2-3 minutes ran into a crack in the wall. I immediately got all of our possessions off of the floor...then learned my son, his wife and our 8 month old Granddaughter were moved from a room where baby roaches hatched and were all over the place. Seems this is a Known unresolved matter. After they complained, they were moved to the room over us on the 3rd floor. When the manager at the desk was addressed about the matter, he offered to move us to another room. We were exhausted having driven from MD. We decided to stay with the one roach we saw ...vs the baby roaches we didn't see (and didn't want to). There was no resting in store for any of our immediate family members..
Fast forward - past the aroma therapy of marijuana experienced in the hallway and elevator on the regular, we left in the morning for reunion festivities and I requested a change of linen and a full room clean at the front desk. Why. Well, because there were dried Bloody nose boogers on the zipped bed cover. (See I was trained to look for bed bugs after another bad issue at a well known hotel chain). In looking to make sure there were No more bugs, I discovered the soiled linen. We left the room and requested a change at 8:45am. When we returned at almost 7pm, the room remained untouched. Clearly. There was no level of concern or care. At 7:30 or so the maid called and offered to clean the room but we were tired and she had 9 hours to get to the room. When we went to check out the next morning, the manager offered us a $30 refund. I thought it was a joke. Then we remembered that we were premier Members....which evidently doesn't mean anything. Several families reserved a block of rooms at Comfort Suites Northlake in Charlotte for our reunion weekend. Family members flew and drove in from Florida, Maryland, California etc. all looking forward to seeing each other after it had been 7 years since our last reunion. Leaving out telling each other to shake your things before you go home ... doesn't sit well. The room we had was in my husbands name. He will be writing a letter to the corporate office. I am leaving this review of my experience. This was disappointing. Worse.... Not resting wondering if we would wake up and step on a roach on the way to the bathroom just made things worse. We tried sleeping with the lights on. My daughter told us...Some family members considered sleeping in their cars, but it was too hot and humid. Most of us ended up sleeping with the lights on, shoes by the bed, and one eye open. At least our plumbing worked. My niece and her husband had a room where the toilet didn't flush. I get it's not a perfect world. And fixing broken things can get expensive. However. When you have customers who cannot rest at the HOTEL they paid for, returning to work literally falling asleep on the job, that is less than ok. ...I'm exhausted. I'll stop there. This was our experience Due to privacy and relevance.... I didn't post pictures of the barely clothed women Other images are uploaded. The banana only pointed to the ages bloody booger stains.... probably...
Read moreFirst let me say, I’m totally disappointed with my stay at Comfort Suites. Honestly a one was not fitting for my experience. Upon arrival check in was pretty simple and quick so I was okay with their level of service. The room we reserved was 2 queen beds, 1 bedroom suite to accommodate me, my husband and our 3 minor kids (2months, 1 and 11 year old). When entering our room the appearance was fairly clean based off observation. So we dropped our belongings off and exit the hotel to locate food for our family. I was impressed by the location of the hotel bc it was close to the shopping mall as well located near Sky Zone. We checked in our room at 4pm and returned back at 7pm for the night. As we began to settle in for the evening we noticed that we only had 2 towels and 2 wash cloths. Remind you my reservation was for an total of 5 (2 adults 3 kids). So we felt like the room should had already been prepared to accommodate our reservation. I send my husband downstairs to ask for 2 more towels and 2 wash cloths for our children. He was greeted by Tiffany at the front desk who was very unpleasant and unprofessional. My husband addressed his concerns and was told you have to use what you have in your room. Which wouldn’t have been a problem if we had already had enough to accommodate our stay. After my husband explained she then persisted to say well let me look she left the front desk and returned with towels and wash cloths. So a solution was provided to problem but it came in an unwillingly way. Our reservation was from a Saturday to a Monday. After the first night leading into the next day. We attended the complimentary breakfast which was nice it offered various options and the young lady working was very prompt with responding to any questions directed towards her and prompt with stocking as food was being taken by other guests. Before partaking in breakfast I stopped at the front desk at or around 8am to request if our sheets could be changed because one our children had a bathroom incident. The lady at the front desk said we don’t usually update or offer cleaning service because we are super busy unless requested. I explained to her the incident of my child and the bed and that new sheets would be needed due to the fact we are staying another night per our reservation. She was hesitant in her response and turned to her side to ask the housekeeper if she could complete the request. The young lady said yes I then informed her we would be stepping out and would be back later in the day. We returned back to our room around 6pm with no clean sheets after being gone for at least 6 hours. We inconveniencing went back downstairs to speak with the front desk to be advised on why our request was fulfilled. We explained it’s going on 7pm and we cannot get our minor children ready for bed bc the sheets was in the same condition when we left. The inconvenience really upset me and the personal response from the staff wasn’t reassuring as well. ( I.e. the housekeeper who had your request left early and passed it over to another housekeeper). After a long day we were just trying settle in with our kids we waited 30 minutes for housekeeper to change out the linen. Nonetheless, I felt like this hotel was a disservice to us. From the first problem to the next proper professionalism and hospitality wasn’t extended. Resulting in this review. No type of acknowledgment or accountability was provided from the hotel for the “lack of” during our stay at...
Read moreWe booked this hotel for a group family reunion four months in advance. Upon our guest arriving from out of town two hours before check in they were told that they would have to wait until three for check in. That the rooms were not ready. They understood and were satisfied to wait. At three the guest were allowed to check in only to find that the front desk staff was not very professional in handling the large crowd and it was well after three before my guest were roomed. Upon my guest receiving rooms they were appalled that there were no clean towels or clean sheets or blankets in their rooms. When they again had to go to the front desk they were told that these items will be available shortly. My guest were forced to look for these items themselves and were told that the housecleaning staff only comes every three days????? When I checked in for my stay it took 30 minutes for them to check me in at 6:00 pm and the front desk stated that the system was slow. When we met with the Sales manager the week prior we were assured that everything would be ready and there would be no issue in accommodating the large group. We also were told that the pool was out of order which was a disappointment because we were unaware of the information before our group arrived. Upon my arrival at check on Friday the grounds were filthy with all garbage receptacles overflowing . Saturday morning they were still full and I had to ask the front desk to please have them emptied. Saturday morning there was a complaint by one of my guest that stated there were large water bugs in her room and she had to insist that staff come and rectify this matter. The non operational pool was filled with frogs and their were water bugs all around the sitting area near the pool. Several of my guest were given rooms that were already booked and were subjected to walking in rooms or having other guest walk into their room already occupied. Saturday morning I was approached by the cleaning crew with a clipboard asking if we were staying another day. When my room was booked it was booked for two nights. She then proceeded to ask if I knew if any of the other guest on the list were staying as well and I had to point out several names on the list that I knew were staying. She stated that they would get this information corrected and I watched her knock on guest doors and ask if they were staying. The front desk staff were rude and told one of my guest "don't go there" on Sunday evening when she approached him about someone entering her room because they checked them into an occupied room. I watched the cleaning service crews walk around with plates of food on top of laundry carts during my stay. I witnessed multiple errors in giving rooms to my guest. I witnessed a theft that was reported by one guest and I am appalled at how they were treated. Upon leaving we were told by one of the hotel staff that there was nothing wrong with the pool and that management purposely put an out of order sign on the entrance of the pool to keep us out. At first I did not believe what this person was saying but then again they had nothing to gain from lying to us so we took their word for it, checked...
