Made the decision to search for my dream system for my retirement. Living in East Tennessee, there's not a lot of options for audiophile quality equipment. I did my research and looked at shops from Asheville, Charlotte and even Nashville. Then I found AVIQ. They had a wide selection of equipment to evaluate and an excellent show room. I called and discussed my situation with them, wanting to compare multiple speakers, amps and other equipment. They were very accommodating and even set up multiple options for us to review on a Saturday. We did a day trip to Huntsville and were not disappointed. The selection was great, Bryan Bentley was tremendously helpful and they even moved equipment to other parts of the store to assure we had a thorough comparison. Through their help, we made a fantastic selection for our home. Then came the real surprise. Not only was their sales and customer service exceptional, they delivered and set up the equipment to Northeast Tennessee, 277 miles away! The final product is even more than I had hoped and AVIQ was a fantastic partner in helping me achieve the wonderful musical experience I had always wanted. this place is an audio enthusiast's dream. all sorts of well-reputed brands and highly knowledgeable and helpful technicians with nothing but time and passion for their line of work. they are endlessly friendly (myself and a friend were allowed to demo a focal utopia on one of our own amplifiers; it took around an hour and ten minutes and despite us making it clear we weren't looking to purchase, the employee on the floor allowed us to enjoy the headphone for a little while) and the selection of products is great with no bunk or snake oil. there's also fantastic offerings of smart home tech and home theater accoutrements.

i fully plan on using this store and the brands they stock to furnish my future listening room, if only because their commitment to a quality customer experience deserves ultimate commendation. it's genuine, a cheesy grin isn't worn, and you're treated like a person and spoken to rather than served. if you're looking to spend a few thousand or more on some audio equipment, skip best buy and magnolia -- come straight...

Finally stopped in to see Aviq after a walk through the new Signals Museum across the street. Signals has got the past covered, and Aviq clearly deals with the future.

Just being in that space is fun. And while its a high-end audio/video shop, they had plenty of reasonable items for nearly any budget, even an interesting collection of trade in/used options.

What a fantastic shop. We easily spent an hour and a half just talking with one of the owners - Chip. He told us about all the different aspects of the store and let us play with any of the amazing toys. Never once did try to push or sell anything to us, just let us casually go through their whole collection. Just a great guy who speaks about the merchandise like a proud papa. The passion for the gear is refreshing compared to the big box shops.
