We are incredibly disappointed in the lack of customer service at the IF Dillard's. We were treated extremely poorly several weeks ago by an associate who very condescendingly and rudely let us know that "this isn't Wal-Mart" and we couldn't just go check out in another department after yelling across the store for us to come over to her when we were walking away from women's clothing down to men's to finish our shopping, jeans in hand. When we questioned this based in our past visits, she showed us the security tags and said other departments can't remove them, then switched gears and mentioned that "we do get commissions for what we sell in our areas..." which, with 3 pairs of $60-100 jeans in hand I assume was possibly the real reason she called us back over, though she was no help to us the 30 minutes or so we spent in the department picking out and trying on the jeans. Despite the accuracy or inaccuracy of whether we could check out elsewhere (we did check out elsewhere with no issue), the way it was handled and the way we were spoken to was unnecessarily rude and condescending. We tried contacting the store via their online experience review and we also called customer service and left a message at the district office to try to speak with someone and alert them to the issue, but no one ever reached out to us. The only positive I can provide is that the girl who did end up checking us out was incredibly polite and helpful, and we were able to find the products we needed, though any we found online straight from the company (Silver Jeans) we put pack on the shelves and ordered online after our experience with the initial associate...
Read moreOkay, so I haven't ever had any problems with this Dillard's before now. Everyone that works there has always been exceptional. Until now. Now, I was dress shopping for my senior prom. I found a dress that I adored and that fit me absolutely perfect. I went to the saleslady at the counter and discussed my situation of payments and that I would have to wait until I got paid before I purchased the dress. I had full intent to purchase this dress and the saleslady was nice enough to allow me the hold on the dress. Now, come the date we agreed upon, I head on over to the store very excited to pick up my dress. Once at the counter, I am greeted by a different saleslady than before, no biggie, I tell them I'm there for my dress and it's NOT THERE! They had sold MY dress to someone else! It's a pretty dress so of course there are no more of that style in my size. The saleslady was offensive in that she did not feel sorry for my predicament and she made me try on a size that was obviously too big for my frame. I am a size 3 and she insisted on me trying on a size 7, then proceeded to try to make me order a size 5. After insisting repeatedly I needed a 2 or a 3, she finally told me she could order one for me online. I am furious. That dress should have been there when I went in to pick it up, but it wasn't and now I have to worry about making sure I have a back-up dress for my...
Read moreYesterday my wife and I went in seeking a car seat for our first child. It seemed great the mall was hoping there was an excitement in the air. Back to school is upon us. As my wife and I rode the escalator up to the top floor we found what we were looking for. There was a lady in that area, I do not recall her name. She was nice and pleasant. She seemed to have known what she was talking about. She answered some questions, and we went on our way to see the other options. As we did so, they got busy, so we left for a bit to give her some time. Upon returning we found no other customers in the area, excited we went up to her and told her the exact model of car seat we wanted. She looked at us and said, I’ll have to take a look in the back to see if we have it in stock. After a second she must have changed her mind, because she then said she did not have time for us. It’s back to school and cannot go looking for this item and to buy it online. Our bubble of excitement and joy was popped. The place turned from bright and sunny to one of doom and gloom. We walked away empty handed, our unborn child cried, as did we. So the moral of the story, don’t bother the workers during back to school. They don’t have time for you just go...
