Bokay Florist — Local services in Indianapolis

First let me say I’m always the first one to work with the smaller retailers to keep them afloat. That being said I placed an order on Monday via the website For my daughter-in-law’s birthdayTo be delivered on Tuesday, March 23. Tuesday afternoon I called to ensure the delivery thru my son which I was advised No delivery had been made. I went into my email to confirm again the reference number called to verify if the delivery was on its way and was assured that the delivery was in fact on its way. I called again and hour later to find out still no delivery call just before closing again no delivery. Made another call was advised they deliver up till 8 o’clock at night again no delivery. Text my son this morning to find out no delivery. Called the company again this time they were looking into delivery status. Kroger apologizing stating BO Kay florist was very rude and hung up on.. I personally contacted bo-Kay was looking into situation requested call back in 15 mins. Bo Kay did not call back instead I get a call from a representative of Kroger apologizing stating that bouquet claims they never received the order, explain to me how it’s possible you don’t receive an order when I received confirmation number? and if that were the case why would you tell me you were going to check with the delivery driver to see the status of the delivery of my flowers? Bottom line Kroger Called me and said they were going to reimburse me and apologize for the lack of support I was getting from the actual florist which was BO Kay. If I could give no stars I would. very very very dissatisfied with customer service at Bo Kay Florist Indianapolis Indiana. Also Been waiting on a call back from the shop owner and still have not heard back beware do not use this florist apparently they are not able to commit to orders Via the website. Definitely will not use...

The reason for the 3 star review has nothing to do with the breathtaking flowers provided by bokay but the lack of communication on the most important day of my life. The communication, attentiveness, and professionalism was phenomenal up until the BIG day. Bokay was on the schedule to arrive at 12pm. At 1:30pm unbeknownst to me (the bride) my Wedding Planner had called without response over 30 times. She eventually had someone show up at the shop to see what was going on. They acknowledged that they were running late at that point but never made a single effort to reach out to us to let us know they were over 2 hours behind (as the venue was 50 min away)! All of my bridesmaids, wedding planner and my mother were in shambles as they tried to think of a “back up” alternative. We were told that their phone system was down but with the access we have to email, text message, cellphones there is absolutely no reason why we were not contacted prior to the expected arrival time. Because of the extreme delay and lack of communication, parts of my wedding video are flowerless. We had the videographer and photographer ready to take shots and clips well before the guests arrived expecting the florals to be in place. They were still working on getting everything up in the background while we were taking pictures. I will say, the flowers could not have been more beautiful and everything I wanted but the lack of communication on my wedding day made for a VERY anxious bride. The first thing I said to my husband after our first look was “the florist didn’t show”. It definitely made for a roller coaster of emotions on an already emotional day. We were extremely pleased with our service from Bokay Florist for our wedding during the total solar eclipse! Our experience with Bokay was nothing but positive, and made for easy and genuinely enjoyable planning from start to finish.

We shopped around quite a bit for florists in the Indianapolis area, but it was Bokay that stood out to us due to their excellent service, impressive knowledge, and willingness to listen and work with us on our budget. After our initial video consultation, we met with Zach in person and set up a first draft of the proposal. Zach himself was a delight to work with throughout and helped us figure out exactly what to use to create the wedding of our dreams. The deposit was very reasonable and a second meeting was scheduled to fine-tune the details closer to our date. We had a much better idea of what we wanted by the time of that second conference, and Bokay helped us easily adjust from our initial estimates to our final plans. They were even willing to make a few last-minute additions in the week leading up to our wedding.

On the day of our event Bokay showed up exactly 2 hours early as planned and delivered/setup our incredible arrangements. Seeing those astounding flowers and greenery being integrated into our venue was breathtaking and made us overjoyed with our decision to go with them as our florist! Our guests were as amazed as we were and we received many compliments on our flowers both during and after the wedding.
