A True Night to Remember! About a year ago, I started dating this amazing woman; this relationship was nothing like I'd experienced and that is saying a lot. Anyway, about the time I met my soulmate, I attended a golf event where I won a prize that I needed to purchase a ticket for. This wasn't any prize, this was a one-night stay at the Crown Plaza Train Car Hotel in the heart of Indianapolis, IN and a $250 dollar gift card to St. Elmo's. I held onto this prize for just the perfect moment, the moment to fulfill this "night to remember!" One year later, just as the gift was coming to expiration, I cashed in on it to celebrate our one-year anniversary of meeting. Now, I know this isn't a big deal to most, but in every relationship, your moments are always important and that was what this night meant to me. So, I made the reservation for the hotel and dinner, but my girlfriend made the reservation for the activity; this is where the Mind Tripping Show comes into the story! The night arrived and we drove into downtown Indy and parked our car. We walked to our hotel and even though the area was under construction, our hotel was magical! Dinner wasn't a disappointment either and after a wonderful meal and three drinks each, we headed to our evening entertainment. As we entered the room, we knew we made the right decision. We were sat and because my lady doesn't enjoy the spotlight, I sat her inside, as to protect her from any volunteer activity. When the show started, it would be an understatement to say the connection between this duo was dynamic; they played off of each other's positions in their relationship while playing the perfect host to this incredible mind-tripping show! The audience was kindly asked to participate and when they sensed those who would not like to participate (somehow, they knew; it was my tablemate). It was fun, interactive, and went way too fast. We laughed and kept talking about the show into the next two weeks. This was the perfect way to end this wonderful celebration night... it didn't...
Read moreWhen we wife and I first sat down to the show we weren't sure what to expect. The room was small and there about 40 or 50 people there and we filled every seat. On our reserved tables were little cards with brainteasers that felt a kind of childish and the atmosphere at first felt a bit corny. The show is a husband wife duo. The husband came out and loosened the crowd with some light standup style room work. It was a bit cheesy and I was starting to worry maybe I messed up trying this place out. When they started the show, however, it got much better. The husband and wife are very charming and I warmed to them quickly and the rest of the crowd seemed to as well. The magic tricks and illusions were really impressive! I don't want to ruin the surprise by saying too much but I'm an atheist and they had me rethinking whether there was a supernatural world or not (jk but not jk đ ). The show was about an hour and a half and we had...
Read moreGreat fun! At first, I was a little hesitant as the show is billed as a family show, but don't let that hold you back. It just means that they keep the humor clean and most people above the age of 8 will laugh right along.
Now to the show... it's hard to describe. A little bit of comedy with magic and mind tricks throne in. The format of a small audience, about 30 people, works well and makes the show intimate and personal. If you are wondering... yes, you will become part of the show. But don't worry, it makes is so much more fun, they never make fun of anyone or embarrass you. They don't make you memorize 30 numbers and then laugh because you can't remember. It's not that kind of show.
Free parking, some drink coupons, and a really nice way to spend an evening. All of that for a...
