I love Hilton Brand, which is why I chose to stay at Hilton Indianapolis instead of the contracted hotel for my sorority conference. After my completed stay I wouldn't stay at this property again. The bathroom wasn't throughly clean, there was hair that didn't belong to myself or roommate. I have pictures in addition to dirty vents. After a long day of walking back and forth from the Convention Center, I wanted to go to my room to rest. Upon getting to my room, my key wouldn't work. I went down to the front desk and reported the issue. The front desk staff member checked the system and said I was good to go. I went back up to my room and the key still didn't work. Waited in line again and talked with the Front desk manager. He realized the battery must be dead. After calling around for security/maintenance he received a response. He sent someone to let me know and work on the door. When I arrived at my room no one was there. So I sat on the floor next to my room door, because I was tired and frustrated. Eventually, someone showed up to let me in. The guy apologized for arriving to work late. I understand that happens, but who was scheduled prior to his arrival that apparently didn't stay? On my last night, Saturday I stayed up to almost 5am because of partying near the hotel. I called down to the front desk about the outside noise in addition to slamming doors and heavy sounds from the room above me and next to me. I just wanted a quiet night sleep for my last night and just didn't get it. The front office manager took 1/2 off my last night. I don't believe this is fair considering I didn't get half of a night's quality rest needing to get up at 8am to head to the airport. Earlier in the week I expressed concern about noise above and below me. This is the 3rd communication I've sent with no response by Hilton. On my last night I finally called the non- emergency line for help. On my bill checking out I noticed a fee for packages. I wasn't informed of a fee prior to placing my Amazon order when I asked the desk about delivery. The fridge in my room had to be replaced because my food wasn't being kept cold. I have a high protein and dairy diet as a gastric sleeve patient. Some of my food wasn't able to be eaten, like my yogurt, cheese bites, protein shakes. I informed the manager and another fridge was swapped out. I understand the shortage of employees in hotels, hotel shifts, cleaning standards. My husband works for IHG along with a family friend . My experience could've been better with housekeeping check for cleaning and the fridge. Property maintenance check with the door. Front desk to notify me of package delivery cost. Offer to move to a quieter side of the hotel. I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreThere are so many things wrong with the rooms here. I was woken up multiple times, different times a day, by oscillating rattling sounds in the walls. This happened on and off for short periods over the 4 nights we stayed there. I just dealt with it since it usually was not super loud and stopped after maybe 5min. On our last night, it was super loud and happened at close to 2am and did not stop for 20min, so I called the front desk to make sure they were aware in case it was an issue. They were absolutely aware, and really could not care less about my experience as a guest in this situation. They literally said "oh, that's the pipes. there's nothing we can do about it." and that was it. I did not get solid sleep for the entire stay.
This hotel is definitely showing lots of wear and tear. The carpets are stained and worn. The tub had clear water stains from some kind of plumbing back up. The toilet had trouble flushing. The furniture is stained.
If you are a hot sleeper, steer clear of here! The AC is especially underpowered for the suite rooms (attached room with foldout couch). There's only one vent and it's in the separate room, away from the two beds, so if you need to close the living room area off for someone on the sleeper sofa you will get no AC flowing. There is NO vent in the bathroom at all, so it gets damp in there and stays damp. towels don't dry.
Housekeeping was subpar. They inconsistently refreshed the coffee supplies and cups. They didn't consistently supply the right number of towels. Front desk staff often ignored me or acted like I was an inconvenience for asking questions. I asked where a water fountain might be for refilling my bottle and the staff told me there was ONE dispenser (in the whole hotel!) inside the 18th floor fitness center otherwise I had to buy it from the front desk, which was especially annoying when housekeeping was not consistently replenishing the complimentary water bottles. When the only water dispenser broke, I called about it and they said they would check it out and call back with a status. They never called, but I did discover the next day that they had fixed the dispenser.
This was my first stay here and my worst Hilton experience. I will steer clear of this place...
Read moreThis Hotel deserves a 3 star at most (I'm putting one star to grab the Hotel's attention on my main complaint), staying at this place was like playing a survival horror game. Me and a couple of friends I stayed with tried to find some source of water to drink, the only thing that was there was two bottles of Fiji water that cost FIVE DOLLARS. We had to find a place to drink water from and we got so desperate to the point where we had to go to the ice machine to wait for it to melt and then harvest the water. It was also pretty scary because when I would go into the elevator at night to get ice it would randomly stop at floors, I'm not sure if some kids were playing a prank on me but it kept stopping. Anyways, I really wish they offered water dispensers or a water filter next to the ice machine. But yeah that's about my only problem, it was nice staying here and the rooms were chill, although the room I stayed at could have had a better TV, there was nothing to watch on the channels and they did offer a HDMI to USB-C cable to play things from your phone onto the TV but it didn't work so I was forced to watch some soap opera since the only other thing on was Bluey and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They also offer a public use piano on the basement floor which was pretty neat. Oh and another thing, bring a buddy with you on the elevator just to be safe, sometimes it gets uncomfortable when your the only one on it with some random stranger that says nothing to you, best way to get out of this situation is to just get off the elevator as soon as possible and take another one, or if your really desperate just take the stairs. Also breakfast was alright, it's all you can eat but that doesn't mean you'd want to eat it all, there's some really good breakfast places around here for really cheep! Oh and another thing, don't buy from the giftshop, it's super...
