Man, I hate to do this. I am usually pretty happy with my service here but today was just not the day. I went in at lunch to place a take out order. A nice woman took my order which was Kao Pad w/chicken medium, 2 spring rolls, and the lemongrass soup. I waited for roughly 10 minutes. I got my order and left. I got back to the office to notice that my order was wrong. I packed the bag back up and walked back to them and spoke to the gentleman at the register and let him know politely that I had received the wrong meal. His response was "You ordered drunken noodles?" I stated no, I ordered Kao Pad w/chicken. He then told me in the future to order it in English because they do not speak Thai there......Like, ummmm. This is a Thai restaurant. Kao Pad is a pretty common dish. I feel like that response was a little ridiculous in the grand scheme of things. You messed up, own up to it and do not put it on the customer. It is hard to say if I will come back after that type of response for a messed up order but I have a feeling you shouldn't be working at a Thai restaurant if you don't know the food that you are working with. Also, sir for future reference Kao Pad in Thai is the...
Read moreGood service. However the food was sub par. The salad wraps (although good size) annoyingly fell apart with each bite. The shrimp inside was small, limp and lackluster, and the chicken was dry. The fish sauce was weirdly thick and sweet, almost like honey…as if sugar or honey had been added to it. The green curry was also oddly sweet, as if sugar had been added to it. The meat portion (chicken) in the curry was minimal and overcooked. There was an overwhelming amount of chewy large cut green beans in the curry and the other vegetables were cut small and overcooked. The white rice was a bit chewy and it was clear based on the golden color of some of the rice, that it was either old or scraped from the bottom of the rice cooker. I suggest management spend some time at other Thai restaurants and make some changes to their ingredients and cooking methods. You should be able to taste the flavor and enjoy the texture of each component of a curry. The sweet overpowers it all so much that you can’t even tell there is (or should be) coconut milk...
Read moreA few months ago, I walked by this place as the owner was hanging the sign. I stopped and chatted with him for a few minutes expressing my level of excitement for a new thai place to open within walking distance of my work. He invited me to check it out in the next couple weeks after it opened.
So, I did, along with a couple of coworkers of mine. Thai Paradise did not disappoint. I ordered pad thai with chicken, hot and a side of peanut sauce, which is made in house. Delicious. This gem has kept me coming back and back. I've probably been here 15 times now this year, maybe more. I have tried the pad thai, yellow curry, and ginger chicken. All have been very well portioned and excellent.
I certainly recommend this place. Don't just walk by, stop in and be amazed at the delicious food and exceptional value.
Edit:
So I've been eating here for about 2 years now, and it is even better than day one. Generally visit here a couple times a month for lunch. The lunch specials can...
