Tonight was the first time I have visited mi cocina. What a treat!!!! From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile. I was meeting with a friend and despite the fact they were super busy I was able to get a table as soon as I walked in. Here is my experience. Food: I was brought chips and salsa right away and got a drink. The chips tasted fresh and were warm. The salsa had heat but not enough to turn away those with less tolerance to spicy food. I ordered a bowl of queso and it was delicious and more than enough for two people. I had to make myself stop eating chips, salsa and queso because I didn’t want to ruin my appetite. We ordered chicken fajitas and beef fajitas. The fajitas came in skillets and were smoking which always makes the experience even better because your nose smells the food and your taste buds want in on the action. The chicken was tender and juicy and the meat was flavorful and tender. Some places load you up with veggies and skimp out on the meats but these guys had the perfect veggies to meat ratio. Tortillas were warm and soft and the beans and rice were delicious. It came with guacamole and pico de gallo. In the end we had fajitas to take home. Service: from the lady that opened the door to the waitress that served us everyone was super friendly. I think it’s important to recognize my waitress by name, Hilda, because she was so nice and attentive. I ran out of chips and didn’t have to wait more than a minute before a lady named Deborah came by with a fresh basket of chips and a bowl of salsa. The buzzers and the hostesses were all super friendly. I believe that a great staff is what makes the difference. Even IF the food was not that good I would go there just to be around people that are friendly and super nice. Atmosphere: this place is hopping which should tell you a lot about the atmosphere. They have an outdoor patio with a big TV. If you go at night they have beautiful lights. Giant, colorful pots of plants at the front give it the hacienda look. The inside is dim but it dark enough where you can’t read the menu. They have a beautiful bar and it is super clean. There are TVs inside and the decor gives it a fancy homely feeling without making it seem like you can’t touch anything. All in all I loved this place and will definitely be going back!!!

Nestled in a cozy corner of the city, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that stands out for its taste and service. Despite having a limited menu, the selection is curated with a keen eye for quality and flavor. Each dish on the menu is a testament to the chef’s dedication to authentic and delicious cuisine. The service here is commendable, with staff members who are not only attentive but also well-versed in the intricacies of the menu. They take the time to explain each item, ensuring that you make a choice that suits your palate perfectly. This personalized attention elevates the dining experience, making it both informative and enjoyable. The interior of the restaurant is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. It’s an ideal spot for friends and groups to come together and enjoy a meal in a comfortable setting. Among the culinary highlights, the flan dessert is an absolute must-try. Creamy, smooth, and perfectly sweet, it is the perfect ending to any meal. Additionally, the complimentary chips and salsa, served fresh and hot, are a delightful start to your dining experience. The chips are crisp, and the salsa is bursting with flavor. For appetizers, the cocina platter is a standout. Generous enough to satisfy up to four people, it includes flautitas, quesadillas, nachos, and guacamole. Each component is well-prepared and flavorful, making it a great choice for sharing. Overall, this restaurant offers a decent experience for those looking to enjoy good food and good company. Whether you are planning a casual outing with friends or a larger group gathering, the combination of tasty food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance ensures a memorable dining experience.

Exquisite food, but... Almost 21% compulsory service? A detail that tarnishes the experience. I love this place, I go frequently because the food is rich and the place with an air, elegant, quiet, cozy atmosphere, impeccable and perfect to disconnect. Delicious dishes justifying repeating the visit. The Not So Good: - Unpopular collection policy: If you go in a group (5+ people), add **% of compulsory service to the ticket without the option to omit it. Some customers consider it abusive: "You pay almost an extra room, even if the service does not stand out.". Useful tip: Notice when you arrive that each one will pay their plate separately to avoid surcharge. The real problem: The measure, although common in some restaurants, is perceived as a hidden trap. It discourages holding events or going with numerous friends: "It is uncomfortable to explain that the final price is not the one you see on the menu.". Final reflection: A place that could be (5) in its category, but risks its reputation with a policy that many call "anti-client.". Would it not be better to encourage voluntary tips with exceptional service? Or suggest them, not include them in the account, that is what really bothered. The idea is not that many groups and people go together, that is, the more dishes they sell the better profits, right?

I recently visited Mi Cocina for the first time this past weekend, and I must say that my experience was truly remarkable, thanks to our amazing waiter Miterio. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, he managed to provide us with exceptional service, making our dining experience truly enjoyable.

What stood out the most was the waiter's personal touch. He greeted us warmly, making us feel instantly welcome. Throughout the evening, he took the time to engage in friendly conversation, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that he genuinely cared about our dining experience and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.

Being a first-timer at the restaurant, I greatly appreciated the waiter's attentiveness in guiding us through the menu and highlighting various drink options. His recommendation of the "Mambo Taxi" was spot on! This delicious concoction became an instant favorite and added a delightful twist to the overall dining experience.

Despite the bustling environment, our waiter consistently checked on us, ensuring we had everything we needed. He was prompt in taking our orders, refilling our drinks, and delivering our meals with precision. His attention to detail and ability to handle the pressure of a busy night were truly commendable.

Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of our waiter. His friendly demeanor, personalized service, and knowledge of the menu made our visit truly memorable. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. Thank you for the...
