The French onion soup was very good. Served traditionally, with nice melted cheese and hot, but not scorching hot. The baguette toast was perfect in the soup, (as opposed to croutons) and the broth was not over salty. The spinach salad with goat cheese strawberries, pecans and a sharp champagne vinagrette was good and fulfilling, even with the smaller portion option. The Olive Oil cake was excellent . Due to being not so hungry, I ordered the tagliatelle and pink alfredo to go. I always enjoy the mix of alfredo and marinara. This did not disappoint, and served with two pieces of garlic bread. There was a tinge of spice in the sauce. It worked for me, even though I have to reduce spice in my diet. It heated up well at home. (I used a pan, not a microwave.) I signed up online to be a "VIP" and for my birthday was offered a free dessert. I ate it there; hence the fullness. I tried the olive oil cake and was completely surprised. (I rarely eat desserts.) The cake was hearty, but the flavor was all cake, along with the strawberries and whipped cream. Overall it was a great experience for my forst time there. I went at lunch, so it was not too busy. Craig, the Proprietor was working the tables. I sat at the bar. He was very accomodating and eager to please. I have read a couple of reviews that were not so good. I know when service is bad, it it ruins the evening. Sometimes, there is a bad night. When possible, I give a place a second try. We all have bad days. I will go back and probably try the prime rib on Monday or just the ribeye, and a an app or two. Oh, the pasta is as fresh as I have...
Read moreHow Dare You, This Manager owner tried to embarrass me, but he did not. After sending it back, he came out and told me that he stuck his finger in my crabcake and then when the second crabcake came out, he stuck a thermometer in it and said it was hot 70°. The owner, Craig said he stuck his finger in my Crab Cake!!!!!! I can’t even explain what I experienced tonight just a cup of French onion soup, and a crabcake became the worst nightmare and the most uncomfortable experience of a woman of color in Texas ever in the 12 years that I’ve lived here. Disrespectful! I will never return to this restaurant I was made to feel or they tried to make me feel like I was dumb. I also was almost embarrassed when the owner or manager came out and shunned me for reporting that my crab-cake was cool to the touch! !I always felt welcomed and enjoyed my experience at this restaurant run by Craig Vaught. I ordered my usual French onion soup and then I decided to have an appetizer of crab cake! I sent it back because it was warm lukewarm. I was embarrassed when the owner came out and told me he stuck his finger in my crabcake and told me it was warm. They gave me another side of crab cake and it was actually cool to the touch and he came out and put a thermometer inside of my crabcake, he did not embarrass me. He embarrassed all of Irving/Las Colinas costumers. Don’t be fooled, he treated me with the most disrespectful table side manner!! Shame on you for not allowing people to dine within your...
Read moreThis restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience. Making a reservation online was incredibly easy, and the restaurant warmly accommodated our family, setting a positive tone for the evening. We began our meal with a delightful bruschetta, served on a perfectly crusted baguette that highlighted the fresh ingredients with remarkable clarity.
What makes Copper & Vine truly special is their innovative pasta concept, allowing diners to choose their fresh pasta, select a sauce, and add a protein. I opted for the Bolognese with tagliatelle, and it was, without question, one of thr best Bolognese I've encountered in the DFW area. The sauce was hearty, rich, and bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by the fresh, expertly cooked tagliatelle. My husband's spaghetti with pesto offered a beautiful contrast, presenting a light and fresh alternative that showcased the kitchen's versatility.
Our dining experience culminated with a rich and flavorful tiramisu that provided the perfect sweet conclusion to an outstanding meal. The service throughout the evening was friendly and prompt, with our waitress ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Copper & Vine has definitely secured its place as a must-visit restaurant, and we are already looking forward to our next visit to explore more of their...
