This park is great to walk around and spend time taking a peaceful breath. The park has children playarea as well. It has a broad area that surrounds a big water pond. Walking paths have been nicely built.
One thing I always complain about Texas parks is they lack restrooms. This park has a same problem. Even though there is a temporary toilet near children playarea, I would suggest the city and park management to build a permanent restroom that would be very helpful in many regards. The place where the Gandhi statue has been built would have been better if it had restroom near by. I am not opposed to the statue but the folks who pressed for Gandhi statue should have focused more on building the restrooms. Coz that would make sense for thousands of folks like me who would be looking for that kind of facilities in a public park.
Also, the park lacks big and medium-sized trees. As an environment-lover, I would love to see a number of big and medium-sized trees that could be the valuable assets mostly during hard, rough and hot summer time. The city and park management and a bunch of companies or organizations who wanna work on creating pleasant environment and extending green area should focus on that part. The park is not so pleasant because it lacks big and medium-sized trees. It's kind of a barren land that needs attention of the city and park management. We can really turn this area into a more green and pleasant place with our...
