Cassandra is my angel today! My car wouldn't start at lunch. Figured I needed a new battery. Walked over and got one but saw Cassandra helping someone else outside to check if their battery and I asked about it and it can check the battery, alternator and starter. I noted this but figured I would start with the battery since I could change it myself, mine had some corrosion and was getting older anyway and least costly repair. I was proud of myself for changing my battery but still wouldn't start. I walked back over to O'Reilly and asked if she wouldn't mind walking over to my car to check it. She happily came to help and knew her stuff. Pretty quickly knew it was the starter that was out. She even tried to jump start it for me but that didn't work. She recommended Automeister to me and they really took care of me. They were able to get me in same day and back on the road.
I am a single mom with no support here and often feel isolated and alone. I want to feel a community presence and like we all care about each other. That's vanishing in this world.
I really felt community today from Cassandra at O'Reilly's who recommended me here after helping me figure out the issue to Zack at Clark's towing company that got me to the repair shop(though $260 to go 1.3 miles was an ouch) and to Alan for being an all around amazing person. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you and how much you have made me feel like humanity may still have a chance.
Kindness matters so much and I thank you from the bottom...
Read moreI bought a car battery from O'Reilly Auto Parts in issaquah just 2 months ago. It was dead in the morning yesterday and brought it the store. They recharged it. I put it back to my car and checked if there were any lights on inside and outside but none of them were on. So I went to a mechanic shop to see if there were any issues in my car that could drain the almost new battery. They said everything looks fine and the battery seems to be bad. They also checked the alternator and it works fine. Then I went to the O'Reilly Auto Parts again to ask if they can replace with new one since it is 2-month old and has 2-yr warranty. But they denied the replacement because their battery check-up equipment said the battery was good. O'Reilly Auto Parts said even if the mechanic confirmed that my battery is not good they will not replace if their diagnostic tool shows the battery is good. One funny thing is the manager, Greg, asked me to bring the verified document from the mechanic. I said "then will you replace?". He said "No. My tool needs to show "bad"" I said "then why do you ask me to waste my time by visiting a mechanic shop and get the document that you will not believe.". Do not buy any batteries from this store. I would...
Read moreWent here just to ask for a battery check. The older lady ahead of us had bought some headlight bulbs and asked a large older male to help her replace them he proceeded to say that there were only 2 on duty and he was not going outside. She left very irritated. My husband being next in line asked him to do the battery check his reply was "you didnt just hear?" A 3rd employee came from the back and my husband asked "i thought you only had 2 on duty"? The 3rd employee then asked me if there was a problem I then let him know we needed a battery check and he came out to help us. After we were done I saw the same large old male outside helping an elderly couple change there windshield wipers and while helping them he got irritated that he hurt himself and the elderly customer said "are u ok"? The employee yelled saying "no I'm not"!! And threw the packaging in the trash in a rude way. I'm surprised that this allowed to happen. If it's ur job to help people why is it so hard? Hopefully he gets a new job not working with people. It's embarrassing for the company to treat...
