Unwanted Patron - I tried to give this place an honest go, but it feels like I'm not wanted here the more I visit. My first few visits were awkard because I didn't know which computers were being reserved for the cafe's events.

I had hoped to "find my tribe" here. A group of like-minded gaming enthusiasts who want to nerd out over video games, but it just feels like I'm being met with the worst judgment there time after time.

Over time, I've experienced some luke warm to some ice cold respones by the staff. Because of this I've tried to keep my interactions to a mininum, and just focus on the video games to show/signal, "Hey this is why I'm here... video games, nothing else." Sadly my attempts at virtue signaling/gesturing were in vain.

This is still a great place to go though, don't get me wrong. I mean there's good food, anime playing on three TV screens, cold drinks a plenty, oh and video games, tons of videos games. If you don't have your own Steam account you're able to play plenty of pre-downloaded games on the computers there. Need a controller? They can supply one (terms and conditions apply[reasonable ones].)

Most of the other gamers there are cool, but you will catch an off the cuff remark or two about you, but I suppose that's most places.

If you're there, then at a certain point there will be a strong scent from what I assume to be a combination of hookah smoke and vapes, but sometimes it feels like someone is standing right behind me exhaling the stuff against the back of my head, to the point where my eyes get watery.

There's just a general vibe of unwelcome here. Once, while at the bar there was an overweight POC who came in. They stopped and asked the barkeep if they could use the restroom, some places want you to buy something before you use the restrooms, so that's normal enough. What was strange was that this POC told them the nature of their intended business in the restroom, #1 or #2. The barkeep reluctantly and slowly nodded their approval. Had this guy been denied use of the bathroom before?

My feeling, is that just POC knew or perhaps anticipated some discrimination because of their appearance and wanted to signal to this staff member that just because of their size they wouldn't wreak havoc on the bathroom. So, depending on what you look like you may feel those type of acted upon assumptions should you visit.

All and all, despite my uneven experience there I would still recommend visiting. Just be sure to go WITH SOMEONE then you'll be...

Found out about Obscura from FB and since we love coffee, we can't wait to visit this place!

They just opened two weeks ago and there was no signage yet. The business is beside the tattoo shop which is is the same owner as Obscura. Upon entering, it looked like a bar, sans the alcohol, but they will serve them soon! All three of the booths have the old school Nintendo games which you can play with! Really cool!

Now for the food! We wanted to try the brisket, unfortunately it was not available. So we ordered the following:

Taco Carnitas- Very Good! Meat was aplenty, juicy and flavorful! We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Beef Walking Taco - this is the first time I have tried this and it was awesome! I got the ranch Doritos with it. Again, there was a good amount of meat and the combination of the chips and beef was excellent!

Mexican Street Corn - Hubby thinks it's too sour but I liked it! Kinda cheesy and buttery too! Yum!

For drinks, my husband got The Oracle which consists of Mocha Cold Brew Blackberry Drip, whipped cream and mocha drizzle! We can taste the Mocha but without the sweetness! 2 thumbs up! I was also pleased with my Iced Cold Brew!

They are open also for breakfast. I wish they will also serve various hot coffee. But for now, let us support this new business. We will definitely be back and try...

I am not one to leave negative reviews but this place 😂😂 I came in on a Friday evening to get some work done over a cup of coffee. I entered to metal music being blasted ( that's fine no biggie here ) sat down, asked for a coffee and she said oh, we are out of coffee ... Coffeeshop that is out of coffee? Lmfao ok. Then she offered a canned boba ( ew) but I'll try it . She hands me a warm one from the shelf. So I asked her if I could have a glass of ice to chill it. She looks at me and says oh we don't have ice tonight either o.o it's a Friday night on a bar strip and a gas station is literally across the street. She told me to go get a Starbucks can from there if I want coffee ... She then proceeded to talk to her boy friend? I'm not sure but it was not an inviting energy so everyone kinda left besides her bf. Im fairly convinced she just didn't want to clean the coffee pot which is why she said no coffee, she just wanted the tips from serving canned beer. Terrible service, absolutely disgusting boba, and no more ice on a Friday night? Y'all are really trying to loose money huh ... Good luck. I decided to take my...

Stopped by at 0800 on a Thursday. Got some delicious breakfast tacos, discovered matcha and lavender taste how a tattoo shop smells (but it's good, I swear!), experienced very friendly barista and very cool aesthetic! 😎 neat place to just chill out. There are also great options available with alternatives for vegan and non-dairy diets

Good: Ramen broth, protein, and veggies were amazing. The noodles however didn’t fit the flavor profile that everything else was asking for. Atmosphere: sign into your own steam account to play games. There’s some hardware that can be used or rented, but if you’re picky you might want to bring your own. People: lmao
