HORRIBLE customer service at the Bloomingdale, IL store! I spent $150 in there today, only to get home and find that one of the boxes of coffee I bought was completely empty (yet sealed) and one of the .79 cent dog bones I purchased never made it into a bag. If I was just missing the bone, I would have just forgotten about it, but because of the coffee, I went back to the store. The first girl at customer service told me to go back and get another coffee and another dog bone. I went back to the counter fully expecting to just be waved on, after all, she had my receipt showing I paid for both of them. Instead she was trying to turn me over to some manager woman, but she was currently helping someone else. I waited about 5 minutes and finally asked what the issue was. I was told the other woman would help me when she was done. Once the manager woman was done with the other cutomer, the first girl explained the situation to her. The manager woman then disappeared for a few minutes and when she returned, she told me the checker said nothing was left behind and then she told me what bags each of the bones was in and with what items. I said I don't care what your checker says and what you think you saw on camera, but I only got one .79 cent bone and expressed my astonishment that we were even quibbling about this. I just spent $150 in here and they were telling me I was lying and trying to make off with a .79 cent bone!!! Then Barney Fife of the grocery store came over and I explained the situation to him as well and he wanted to have me wait AGAIN while he went back and reviewed cameras!!! I live 15 minutes from this store and they think I am going to drive all the way back up there to try and steal a .79 cent bone!!!!!! So do me a favor Woodman's and go back to your cameras for the last year and a half and see how many times I have been in there and how much money I have spent and realize that they're going to lose that much business this year because I will NEVER step foot in there again!!! The stupidity of the situation is so out there that I cannot even get my head around it! There is absolutely no common sense being used here at all!! You just lost a weekly customer over a .79 cent bone which by the way, I NEVER RECEIVED and THAT is probably because the woman that was bagging my groceries was THROWING everything around! This is the epitome of BAD...
Read moreEarlier this year I worked at the Woodman's West location in Madison, WI as a bagger and then a checker. Actually working there was great, I enjoyed my coworkers and the management. But when it came time for me to leave, because of medical reasons, it had been nothing but hell dealing with the Woodman's corporate people to get back money that was rightfully mine. Upon leaving Woodman's I was asked to return all my borrowed equipment and sign off stating that I did return it. I did so on my last day, but I was warned by a fellow employee that the corporate would still most likely take the money from my last paycheck and when it happened to just call and it would be resolved. So as I was warned, on my last paycheck it showed $15 had been removed from my paycheck after taxes had been detected. Meaning the removed exactly $15 for equipment I had never taken with me and left at the store on my last day. So I called my store and they filled the paperwork to get my money back. A week later no money had been returned, so I called the corporate directly and spoke to someone. They acted very pleasant and said they were sorry and would return the money to my account via direct deposit next week. I said okay. A week later I saw only $8 and some change be deposited, confused I looked at my pay stub to find out they taxed my $15 they owed me! Appalled I called the corporate back time and time again promised they would look into it and either direct deposit the remaining amount or cut me a check. Now it has been well over 2 months since I have worked for Woodman's and still haven't received my money back after countless phone calls to the corporate pay roll department. So clearly they do not care about doing right but a former employee. I am so upset and hurt by the way they have treated me. And I openly say that anyone who has previously worked for Woodman's check your last paycheck to make sure you got all of your money! They can not get...
Read moreI am well aware and not confused, how dare you speak that way. I know when I am being taken advantage of. I was not even able to complete my order until I spent 50 dollars. My order was originally less and I had to buy more to complete. Your reply is unbelievable.
Trade Regulation Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees
So your reply just reinstated the info I wrote in review, Did not address the issue or the lack of kindness from your staff. You said same as customer service rep, so really do not believe the owner wrote reply. Oh wait, employee owned, lol đ. Placed order at TARGET and no fee for ordering, no limit on how much or how little I order, and no Fees for pickup or delivery. Amazing how companies steal from their customers by using fees to get even more money!!!! AGAIN SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL!!! People who are well off just need more and more money, again how dare you call me confused. From the reviews I have read, you guys are failing 100 percent and offer nothing for your extreme errors. Awful
So, I was charged a delivery fee and tax on fee for pickup order. When I called, they said that it is always the way they have done it? You have to order at least 50 dollars for pickup, and if you do not order 100 dollars, they charge you a delivery fee and call it a pick-up fee? Is it legal to give me a receipt with incorrect charges? How does that work for accouting? What? How do you incorrectly charge a fee and tax for a different service that wasn't used? You have to show the correct fees and state what the actual fee is for and why? Why a fee to pick up yourself and not have delivery? Shopping here for 40 years. I was trying to make it easier for disabled husband to get things while I'm out of town. Does woodman's really need these fees? And to be brushed off by customer service, like just deal with it. Shameful. Shameful. Always a big supporter of Woodman's. ...
