I ordered the small size of the "broccoli Mac n cheddar cheese" for the first time.
What I was expecting: Small to medium sized al dente elbow macaroni with actual chunks of crispy macaroni. You know, like broccoli you actually have to chew to eat. I was expecting the quantity to at least fill a measuring cup, maybe a cup and a half.
What I got: COMPLETELY OVERCOOKED mixture of large elbow macaroni mixed with properly cooked pasta SHELLS. There were NO chunks of broccoli. There were literally SPECS of broccoli that you practically needed a magnifying glass to see. They seriously have some NERVE calling this "broccoli Mac n cheese." They SHOULD call this dish "Broccoli FLAVORED Mac n Cheese." And the quantity wasn't even enough to fill an 8oz measuring cup! The meal came with my choice of 3 sides. I chose the apple, which was cold and crispy, and the best part of the meal. I also got a small unsweetened iced tea. The total for all this came to just under NINE DOLLARS!!!! A HORRENDOUS RIP OFF!!! Panera should absolutely be ASHAMED of themselves for this absolute robbery! They absolutely deserve this public shaming for this meal. I could have eaten that small Mac n cheese in three bites...and for this I paid almost NINE DOLLARS!
If I could give zero stars for this...
Read moreI used to order from the counter every time I went, but since then I found that the kiosks are way faster and not at all confusing like some kiosks at other restaurants and you don't have to interact with any live person 😂
I went with 3 people and I used the kiosk last (there are multiple, but other people were using it) and by the time we were all done with the kiosk which took like 5 minutes give or take, the person that used it first had their food and the person that used it second, got theirs around 2 minutes later, and me, who used it last, got mine within 3 minutes of when the second person got theirs.
Being famous for their soups, they live up to it, the soup is always hot and fresh and in general delicious, the sandwiches are good, but panera is not famous for its sandwiches, they leave something to be desired but they are still good I would get them again, as for coffee, they have a ton of delicious selections of hot and iced lattes which you can add pretty much anything to if you wanted to.
The time it took to get seated and get all of our food was about 10 minutes, which I think is very fast, the food is hot and delicious and I would definitely recommend making a stop the next time you are in Janesville, because it will be worth your...
Read moreWow, has this company went downhill in a major way. They used to be known for fresh, quality food served in generous portions. Unfortunately, the prices have been raised significantly and the portions continue to get smaller and smaller. I called on a different occasion (not related to today's experience) to address a cafe drink that I regularly order that is repeatedly made incorrectly (in which the clerk preceded to argue with me instead of just making it right). That left a bad taste in my mouth but I decided to give Panera another chance today. I ordered a Tuna salad sandwich and there was literally a small smattering of Tuna. Just for reference, I am a 130 lb female. If I cannot get full off of a full-order Tuna sandwich and chips, I can't imagine a grown man going in and feeling even the slightest bit satiated. I also ordered a coffee.
Roughly $15 for lunch and I'm still hungry. This is unacceptable. I've given too many second chances for me to continue to overlook this. The quality has declined and the prices are exorbitant for what you get. I will not...
