I have been coming to this location for 4 years and I have never had an issue before until now. I am not a regular customer. I mostly do my nails on my own, at my own time and at home because I stay busy all the time. Every two or three months I come in to get a very nice mani and pedi done, get my cuticles removed and just make my finger nails look a little more appealing because I use my hands to type a lot. Today, I showed the guy who helped me an image of some nails I saw on Pinterest. It was regular polish on all nails, with one differed from the rest. Mind you it was not a complex design at all, just a different nail polish with some glitter on top and that’s it. He seemed annoyed by my request of color for that different nail. He then started putting on an old glitter on top and it wasn’t staying put, all it needed was some nail thinner to smooth out the glitter polish we needed to use, but instead he said "I don’t think this is going to work honey". I told him "Ok, that’s fine, I can do all the same color then if that’s the only glitter color you have available”. To which he replied, "So what you want me to do?", I told him "Go ahead and do all same it’s ok". When he finished, he said I had to wait 30 mins because it was regular nail polish and it was not going to dry soon. I mentioned to him that I’ve never had to wait that long for nails to dry, they usually get them done and once finished they move me to a different section and they turn on a light for my toe nails and finger nails, ten minutes and I’m out. He again told me, it was going to take a long time. I didn’t want to argue so I said okay and ask him to charge my card but he said he was just going to put it to the side and I could pay later. At this point I was beyond annoyed by him. I understand the way they work, they try to get you to upgrade to a different product/service every time, which a lady mentioned to me when I was getting my pedi done. I know the guy does a great job with the other nail styles because he has helped me a few times before. I do not understand why not give the customer what they are asking for? Why did I get attitude when I asked for something, isn’t he supposed to give best customer service possible while at the same time provide great quality work? Needless to say I was not happy with the end result. One of my polished fingers ended up with polish on my skin, he did not even care to clean it up a bit. And since they like to speak in their own language while helping their customers(just like in every other nail salon), I’m sure all the employees knew about it because when someone finally charged my card, I didn’t get charged for the services I got, I paid less than the amount it was supposed to be. My nails dried up in 10 minutes, just like every other single time. I am never coming back. I know me conducting business with them does not affect them, I just wanted to share my experience so everyone is aware of it, and maybe the owner reads this post and can do something about it. I do not know the name of the guy, but he has been there since I started coming to this location maybe even before. One bad experience is all it takes for businesses to lose their customer’s loyalty....only thing is not all employees understand what it means when they behave a certain way to a customer and what consequences their actions may bring into the customers...
Read moreI have been coming here for probably more than 3 years. Kevin and T are so kind! Kevin has constantly did my nails so well that I get compliments everywhere that I go. If you're looking for a great nail Tech ask for Kevin. UNFORTUNATELY lately my experience has been different than the last couple of years. The last time I got my nails done Kevin had to leave early and the receptionist checked me out after he left because I was waiting with friends to get a pedicure. When the receptionist checked me out she told me that my refill alone was $90. That evening I got a refill and 2 marble nails on each hand. Out of the 3 and a 1/2 years that I've been here I've never paid $90 for refill so I questioned her why the refill was so expensive. She told me she did not know and I can call the next day and talk to Kevin. When I'll call the next day to speak to Kevin They said he wasn't available and to call back. When I called back and spoke to Kevin he said he couldn't hear me over the phone and he would call me back and I never received another call back. Now fast forward 2 weeks later I still have not heard from the shop I still have not got an explanation so I just decided to speak with them directly at my next appointment. It was time to get my nails done over and the same receptionist answered the phone I asked for an available appointment, she asked me my name and when I told her who I was she told me there was no appointments available. I asked her when would there be appointments available and she told me she did not know and again that Kevin will call me back. To this very day I've never heard from him I've never gotten an explanation and the customer service that I received the last couple of times have been poor. I don't know if is this receptionist ... I don't know if it's a lack of communication... but this is the worst service that I've...
Read moreI am not coming here anymore because they are dishonest and unsanitary. I gave stars because the nails come out good, also because I speak up when I want something fixed. To start I came in for a shellac refill with a French tip, I have always just gotten a new set never fill. I paid $55 for them to put a lil acrylic and do the design which doesn’t take much work because it’s polish rather then a French tip acrylic. I’ve gotten a French tip shellac New set 3 different times, all the same length and everything expect for the color and person who did them. All 3 times had different charges, went from 40 to 50 then 70 to which I questioned & was told due to price increase. I guess the prices increase every 3 weeks or something. So that was a red flag. On top of that I asked the guy 3 times if the polish I requested was shellac and he beat around the bush like he didn’t understand my question and said yes. So when he walked away I looked at the bottle he used and it was NOT shellac. I’ve always used shellac never regular for years. I’m sure they charged me as shellac anyways. Then during my refill the guy pushed back my cuticles with his finger nails, literally I was so caught off guard by this then he cut my skin with random cuticle cutter in his cart. It was the last straw for me, that was so disgusting. So while sitting there I looked around and realized how dirty everything was. I won’t be coming back because they are dishonest with their pricing especially after the cuticle incident!! I had a fill last weekend with black French tip so you know who I am. Sunshine nails can save...
