United States Postal Service — Local services in Jonesborough

Ordered a funko pop and expected it to be delivered a couple days from now. I ended up receiving it yesterday, which was fine. What was awful was the delivery driver shoved a box inside of the mail box (forcefully) knowing that it couldn’t fit. This pop was worth $75, now worth $0 because of the pure disrespect towards people’s belongings. The box felt as if it was glued to the mail box. The funko pop was literally flattened like a pancake. He spent more time forcing the box into the mailbox than he would’ve spent driving up the driveway. Pure laziness and incompetence. To top it all, contacted customer service to file a claim, they are looking into it and said everyone in the house would have no mail or packages delivered while they are investigating. Well, the delivery driver is now trying to deliver another funko pop and will probably destroy it too after I was reassured that no mail would be coming to my house due to the destruction...

I'm sure there are nice people that work here and I love our little town. There is great service if you are getting a letter or magazine to your mailbox, absolutely sub-par if you are getting a package that weighs over 30 lbs.

USPS will gladly take the package business, but will NOT deliver it to your home, you must go to the post office to pick up your parcel. This has happened twice to my family within a 3 month time frame. My home and driveway are on level land and paved so that is not the issue. It is either an issue of space or the fact that delivery drivers do not wish to lift the load. This office also ignores requests for additional attempts at delivery.

The local office needs to figure this out. The job is to deliver the mail, not send out a notice to come pick it up. Find a way to finish the job...

Filled out a mail transfer form last month, everything was filled out and correct. When I handed it to the woman, I specifically asked her if there was any reason it might not go through because I had done one last year in a different city and never saw my mail. She assured me everything would be fine. Sure enough, I once again lost everything I bought from aliexpress. It has been an entire month, nothing has shown up and tracking shows delivered, to the old address I’m assuming. Just like last time. That is a lot of money that I’m once again throwing down the toilet because for some reason the change of address requests are 100% useless and never seem to work!!! So, so very disappointed. Especially when I really tried to be sure this time and was basically rushed...
