Tennessee Quilts — Local services in Jonesborough

While vacationing in the mountains outside of Asheville NC, I was told to visit TN Quilting store for a great selection of fabrics. After driving for over an hour, I was delighted to find the fabric store in the quaint town of Jonesboro. Upon entering, two women greeted us but we did not feel welcome. There were two other women working but all seemed too busy talking to help any customers. I wanted to buy more than I actually bought but didn’t feel like carrying all the bolts of fabric from upstairs to the downstairs cutting table. Our whole shopping experience was awkward and the women were not so much rude as they were short, curt, and inconvenienced by having to stop to help. I would only recommend this store for the beautiful selection of Batiks. Otherwise, support another sewing/fabric store that appreciates...

Definitely a must see if you are a quilter. They have one of the largest selections of Kaffe fabrics in the country. They have lots of other fabrics as well but I would say they tend towards the traditional for the most part. Not a lot of modern or edgy other than the Kaffe. Notions are available, most of the usual, priced on the high side. They have a great sale room upstairs but it's usually hit or miss as to whether or not there is a huge selection. The prices on the regular fabrics are towards the high end of the average. I hardly ever see or hear of them having some fantastic sale but every once in a blue moon I've gone in and gotten a percentage off...

i purchased a fabric pack for the Summer Solstice Quilt that my husband wanted me to make. Not only did I find it at Tennessee Quilts, but they put all the fabrics together and labeled them. They contacted me as they did not have all the fabrics that came in the original kit and sent me a sample of the fabrics they put together. They are beautiful and went well beyond what they had to do, Very honest too as they charged me what the actual shipping was. Their service is exceptional and I will definitely shop again there as well as highly recommend them. I will post a picture of the quilt when I start putting it...
