My wife and I have stayed with Cathy twice for 5 days on each occasion. We stayed in two different rooms and both have been clean and comfortable, each with a private bath. The location is excellent. The Brookside Cottage B&B is within walking distance of nice restaurants and a variety of stores. Cathy is a wonderful, personable host and an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable about the area since she went to school in Kanab and raised her sons there as well. On our first stay with Cathy we went to Peekaboo Slot Canyon and she took us at a specific time of day so the lighting would be optimal. On our second visit March 2020, we went on three different tours all of which were excellent. You can’t go wrong with a stay at Brookside Cottage! Cathy is an awesome host. While getting a late start on a Sunday morning, my daughter and I realized we wouldn’t make Zion on our tightly scheduled Mighty 5 trip. We had come in late night after Bryce with plans for Zion on Sunday. We found out that Cathy also provided Roads End Slot Tours, so we took a chance and asked if she had availability. Luckily, for us, she did. It was a very hot day, but we didn’t notice as she gave us the best experience possible and most enjoyable afternoon in the Red Canyon slot. Stop searching-book with Cathy and Roads End. We had an amazing time on her tour. She has lived in Kanab for many years and has an amazing respect for the land and the people of the area, sharing the history and the formation of the canyons. Her tour was informative, and not rushed. Several groups bypassed us, as Cathy pointed out items of beauty and interest and took photos of us and the canyon so that we could remember our experience fondly.
