I had a DISGUSTING and UNSETTLING experienence here. I came here to buy souveniers on my vacation when an employee, a caucasian woman with brown box-dyed curly hair, RACIALLY PROFILED and HARASSED me and my friend.
Upon entering the store, I noticed the employee looking at me up and down as I browsed. As I shopped further from the counter in the sandstone area on the left side of the store, she positioned herself perpendicular to me while "organizing" items and staring at me. Each time I moved to a new aisle, there she was - lingering in my space staring me down. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed that I had a difficult time shopping. I noticed that NONE of the melanin-lacking patrons in the store recieved the same treatment and were able to shop without harassment.
As my friend went to the counter to pay, I decided to continue browsing at product across the store. Across the room, I heard the woman tell my friend that she needs to look inside my bag. When my questioned, she responded that it was "because she could."
I approached the counter and asked if there was a problem. The employee stated that she saw me on camera put something in my bag which is impossible because 1) I didn't steal anything and 2) she was too busy following me around to look at the camera.
She demanded to see inside my bag to her surprise, held NO PRODUCT AT ALL. I did not recieve an apology, she could not look me in the eye, and is ridiculous to think that me, being almost in my 30s with a doctorate, would go on vacation to shoplift a $2 pebble that I could find on the floor.
AVOID this business as they support racial profiling, harassment, and embarassing...
Read moreNothing but false advertisement. They have two huge clearance sections. Was so excited because everything in the store is absolutely gorgeous, however when going to checkout with items I have gotten off the clearance shelf I was excited that I was getting really beautiful pieces for half off the listed price. So when I went to the checkout the lady said oh these were marked wrong. The prices on here are the prices that they are. And I showed her the shelf I got them from they had a red star on them so they should have been 50% off the price that was on there. She would not honor this mistake so I had to pay the price as it was listed. Please see attached pictures for the false advertisement of this place and beware. Also when going to pay I was informed they did not take American Express and that it was advertised that they only took Visa and MasterCard. While that typically would not have been a problem, that was all I had with me at that moment and the sign that shows only Visa MasterCard is covered up again please see attached photo. This place does have beautiful things but be prepared to spend a pretty penny because their clearance section is nothing but a lie. And the woman running the register does not honor the false advertisement for...
Read moreTerrible service. I talked to them last Jan about some slabs of sandstone to cover a coffee table two end tables. Then recently went over to check out the sandstone. Ended up purchasing a piece that was 23x27 " for just over two hundred. They texted me when it was ready for pickup... Drove over to Kanab (1.5 hour drive each way) to get there and find out that they undercharged me. I was suppose to cost approximately $600 rather than the two I paid. They were willing to let me have it as the price I paid... however they knew I wanted two more bigger pieces that they told me would cost over $5000. What I don't understand is why they couldn't tell me that before I spent three hours driving over there an back. Then I figure that if my first piece would of cost just over $600 then the price is about $0.96 per sq inch. Given that the price should of been less that $2400 for the additional two pieces... NOT $5000. Of course I got my money back and will look for a different solution. Even the additional $2400 was more that what I was expecting considering the price of the...
