I took my wife's jewelry in tor our 6 month inspections and my ring for repair. As on the inside of my ring there is a Crack that needed to be re sodered. The Acting manager was the one who took my ring and had added it into the system to send it off. After a couple of weeks I was notified that I was able to pick up my ring. When I went to pick it up there looked to be very little dont to my ring and a bunch of polish stuck on the inside of my ring and as I had noticed thr polish I also noticed that the jeweler did not fix my ring at all. The sales rep that assisted me also verified that it was not fixed. I am really not happy that I was tying to do the right thing for my jewelry and do the proper maintenance and send it of for a repair. And to have the jeweler just polish it and send it back after about 2 weeks. I could have done that at home. As my family and I are about to move to Texas I did not want to chance sending it back in and not getting it back in time. Nothing was offered to me other than im sorry they didn't fix it. I have come to expect better service than this. I am also shocked that no one had checked the ring prior to me ariving and that I was the one that had to point out that there was virtually nothing done to my ring other than a quick polish. Needless to say I'm very concerned that a jewelry company would have jewelers that do rush jobs and have no attention to details. Or that they completely over look a crack and don't perform the repair it was sent in for. So my disgust in the work on my ring has earned this company my 2 star rating. I certainly hope that my next attempt at getting this crack fixed will be a different...
   Read moreI like Helzberg's, but I don't like that they don't warranty their products for any length of time unless you pay extra for the lifetime warranty. I bought my granddaughter an "H" necklace & less than 3 months later, the chain clasp broke. I had read reviews saying the same thing happened to numerous other customers, so Helzberg's knows the chain clasp isn't good quality, but when the clasp breaks (as Helzberg's knows it will), they won't repair or replace it unless you bought the lifetime warranty. I bought a nicer chain on sale & added the lifetime warranty to the chain. It would have been less expensive if I bought the lifetime warranty up-front BUT they would have had to repeatedly replace the lower-quality chain, & I'm sure eventually the broken clasp would have caused the entire necklace, including the "H" silver-rose gold-&-diamond pendant, to be completely lost ... & the lifetime warranty doesn't cover the jewelry if it's lost (even if it got lost because their cheap clasp broke & caused the necklace to fall off somewhere). I understand not covering lost jewelry if a ring gets lost, because unless you don't have the ring sized properly, you have to physically take off the ring to lose it, but that's not the case with necklaces & some bracelets. Experience: 2/5 - I came in with my husband to buy his wedding band and the experience was.. okay? For reference, my husband is the type of person who needs to see all options and think over big purchases. We came in and found a ring he liked, but we wanted to walk around the other shops and see all of our options. We wanted to come back and grab a picture of the ring he liked because he wanted to think it over because it was initially out of our budget. We walked up to the desk and the manager said something like “I’m not surprised you didn’t find anything better” in a condescending tone. We got our picture and left. Decided we liked that ring and gave them a call later in the day, and we got the same manager on the phone with that same condescending tone. I assume the workers work on commission, but I recommend watching how you speak to your customers. I was not impressed with the way he would speak to us, every time we’ve been in there (ring cleanings and such). Customer service isn’t his forte.
