I was sold fake AirPods Pro 2s today. They were sold as “opened box returns” for about $130. I opened them up and they just felt off. They were really convincing and sounded good and the noise cancelation even worked very well. The alarms were in the lid of the case feeling very light and hollow, and the stems of the pods being very sensitive yet unresponsive to my touch. I currently own Airpods gen 3 so I know how they are suppose to feel in terms of build quality and responsiveness. They did refund me, but selling fakes as real AirPods is inexcusable and scummy.

Response to your reply: thanks for letting me know they weren’t fake but were instead refurbished. Either way, that’s something the customer must know about the product. “Open box return” is completely different from refurbished products bought on auction from tech liquidators that have aftermarket, possibly faulty, parts. I hope you see the issue in that and change your labels because “open box” does not imply anything about refurbished AirPods with aftermarket...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Poor business management, poor communication, lack of consideration for the customers but yet he wants your money. Owner is very forgetting and doesn’t honor what he says. Our original box needed to be updated so we sent it back to get the updates it needed. We didn’t get our box back we got someone else’s box with remote, that didn’t work.So we called and informed them what the problem was and got the run around. Was told that we would get a new box immediately. Still haven’t got it. Sent the box that they sent us with tracking information and yet still no new box.
