Katy Crossing Icehouse — Restaurant in Katy

I visited the bar after it reopened to see how it was doing, and I had a mostly positive experience with one of the bartenders, Ashley, who was fantastic. However, Taylor, another bartender, appeared inattentive and unengaged. She often left customers sitting in front of her for 10 to 15 minutes without acknowledging them or offering refills, even when their cups were empty. I noticed some guests were visibly frustrated, and I initially wondered if she was just having an off day. Unfortunately, I saw no improvement over time. Taylor rarely communicated with her customers unless it was about their drinks, and only a few patrons received her full attention—one person in particular seemed to have her focus most of the time. I felt sorry for the guests who had to wait so long, especially since she was standing right in front of them but paying little attention. Additionally, her passive-aggressive comments about minor issues seemed to create a tense atmosphere, and it was clear she wanted to control the space but lacked the skills to do so effectively. I would like to rate it a 3.5, but I can only choose 3 or4. The venue looks nice. Its clean with a laid back staff. Plenty of TVs. My gripe is the tiny food menu. The place has been open for a while now. I figured they would have added more to the menu since opening day, but it seems not, at least not yet. In today's nice bars and icehouses, they are often seen as gastro pubs with really nice food. KCI basically just serves something to soak up the alcohol. When I go to bar/icehouse to watch a game or fight dor hours, I want more choices than wings, pepperoni pizza,...

Absolutely terrible experience. Waited over 1.5 hrs for a simple cheese pizza, and when it finally arrived, it was completely burnt. No apology, no urgency, just disappointment. Never...
