I am leaving this here until the owner/manager contacts me to resolve the issue
Within the last month, I placed an order for teas for several coworkers. It was written on my phone and the cashier said she could just read the order herself. One for he drinks was a Taro tea and requested oat milk as she is lactose intolerant. I didn’t notice until I made it all the way back to my office that the drink was made with regular milk. I immediately called and the store said that they would write my name down so that they can issue her at a later date. They never offered to just refund it. When I place the orders, I usually pay, and my coworkers pay me back. Since she didn’t receive a drink that she could have, I ended up paying for it and wanted to use the drink for myself. I would not drink a taro tea. The last time I was at Tiger sugar I paid and then remembered that I had my name written down for a drink but it was too late. I told them I would use it the next time and learned that my name wasn’t written down anywhere. They said perhaps it was thrown out. The cashier remembered me and they wrote my name down again. I tried to place an order for 4 teas today and wanted to redeem my drink. This is when I learned that I could only get the exact same drink. The girls working today were not empathetic, they were like robots stating very matter of factor that it is just their policy. I asked if they could contact their manager to double check that I just couldn’t get another drink. They told me they could not give me their number that it what their policy. They were clearly not listening for understanding and only listening to respond to me because I never asked for the manager/owners number, I asked for them to contact them. I could tell on their faces that they had essentially shut down and weren’t willing to go any extra mile to help resolve the issue. I wasn’t asking for anything free, only for a mistake to be corrected. They said they couldn’t issue me a refund either without an exact date for the original drink and a transaction number. My work places an order here for 4-6 drinks almost every week… if fixing this one issue isn’t worth our continued business then this is not a business I want to patron anyway.
Edited to add that they did inform me that either the owner or the manager was out of the country however, I find it very hard to believe that an owner or manager of a business would leave their associates, completely unattended, without someone else with decision making authority available to...
Read moreI would rate them zero stars if I could. My husband and I just came in. We had never been here before. I love boba tea so we decided to give them a try. We received zero greeting upon entering. I said a bubbly hi and the cashier just stared at me blankly and did not speak at all. I proceed to look at the menu making little comments speculating about the types of drinks. Still nothing from the cashier. A few moments later someone else walks in. And the same cashier says “hi and welcome” to the customer behind me. I turn around to look and it’s a Caucasian woman who just received a warm and friendly greeting. Unbelievable. I guess Tiger Sugar doesn’t like black people. So I’ll take my money and business elsewhere. Thank you for showing me that racism exists in your establishment. I will be sure to spread the word so that poc are well aware. Almost ruined my Anniversary celebration but I won’t allow it. I will continue to be the happy person...
Read moreThere used to be a Boba place next to Jersey Mike's that was really good, but they closed down, so I decided to try this place since it's close by. I'm a big fan of Taro tea, but I was utterly disappointed by my experience here.
Initially that told me that they don't use the Taro mix most Boba places use, but they make it with "real taro." I asked if I could try it and they told me they were out of sample cups (because they apparently can't use regular sized cups). I decided to chance it and ordered one anyways. What I didn't know was that their version of Taro Boba tea is apparently just a bunch of Taro root chopped up and dropped in milk. The texture was that of puke and the taste was of sour milk. It's been roughly 2-3hrs and I still can't get the taste out of my mouth.
I can't speak for their other drinks, but I do not...
