Definitely a thumbs up if you are looking for some creamy and super sweet cakes and pastries. They have got the mousse, the rolls, the buns and the cake slices. Have been here before and tried out their cake slices and mousse. Was really excited to visit this place again especially to take my friends along to try their delicacies before hot weather kicks in.
Being a South American based bakery (their tagline reads Brazil) I expected them to be hard on coffee or cocoa. The chocolate mousse I tried last time was super cocoa-ic meaning tasted more like dark chocolate but this time after 2 years, i was in for a surprise. Yes we had the cake slice of White Chocolate truffle cake with ladyfingers, TresLeches cake slice and a cup of Tiramisu mousse cake.
The white chocolate truffle and the TresLeches were pretty similar as the White chocolate truffle had TresLeches sauce on it. The White Chocolate truffle cake looked amazing and the creamy TresLeches slice was so good and appetizing. The sweet was abundant and I really loved it! The ladyfingers on the White chocolate truffle cake was okayish. Given a chance, just have one finger. The cakes were spongy and it’s totally worth the money compared to many bakeries in the metro Atlanta region.
The cup of Tiramisu was the surprise factor. Normally in any Italian restaurant/ bakery the Tiramisu is supposed to be of dominant coffee dusting and layers of sponge cake and cream. Here I felt the coffee very very lightly and it was more of a chocolate-vanilla cream mousse. But I just loved it. With some chocolate slices on the top with a thin mascarpone layer, it was just perfect for me. But did it qualify as a Tiramisu? No to me. Did it qualify as a very tasty random Choco-cream mousse? Yes! So if this is their way of doing Tiramisu, so be it and I would encourage you to try it.
The place is less crowded most of the times and the people there are very friendly and helpful in making us choose the best ones. The ambience is good and it’s well lit. Few tables outside as well for a good spring/ summer evening visit. They have their own section of other pastries and breakfast items. Recommend to check out their menu.
BOTTOMLINE: Worth the money tasty and creamy cakes with a very unique taste of already established items! A must visit if you are a cake lover just like me.

Read moreI heard great things about this place so I thought I would check it out. Sadly to say my very first visit was extremely disappointing. Though the ambiance was nice and the food looked good the customers service i recieved was a complete turn off. As soon as I walked in, the young man with the nose piercing, who I am unsure if he owns the place or is related to the owner which I hope not because he is completely bad for business. But he had such a nasty attitude, didn’t greet, saw me struggling to figure out the pricing of the pastries offered no help, or acknowledgment whatsoever. Even after the customer he was attending to, who he was absolutely pleasant and lovely to , was done and had left. He still never lifted up his gaze toward me not even to say a simple “I will be with you I one second just wrapping up thank you for your patience”, nothing of the sort . He just stood there for an uncomfortable length of time, that I had to call out to him and say “excuse me” in order to get some service. When he finally attended to me, he was uninterested in telling me the price of the items I wanted to buy claiming he didn’t know and just throwing numbers at me. I don’t know what this young man’s issue was , maybe he was tired , hungry, overworked or just prejudiced toward me. But what ever the case I didn’t deserve any of that negativity. I hope he gets some extensive training on how to treat/ handle customers , he can’t just on a whim decide who he is and isn’t going to attend to for no reason at all. Being that he is the face that customers see when they walk in he should be nicer , unless that’s the representation and culture that this restaurant wants to show. But he has no business being upfront at the register at all. I get it we are human and have bad days but be professional and push through it , take a break or just STAY HOME!!! Don’t spread your nasty attitude and energy at paying customers who don’t deserve that.
I would have enjoyed the food I ordered a little bit better if it didn’t come with a side a unnecessary rude and nasty customer service that I...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews unless the food was exceptional or exceptionally bad and this food was the latter unfortunately. I ordered through ubereats and got the limeaid and tres leches. The limeaid was straight horrible, tasted literally like the bottled lime juice from the store that are on the shelves. No sugar at all, zero zip. Theres no way whoever made this, tasted it and if they did, shame on them.
Now for the tres leches. Im unsure if the sent the white chocolate cake on mistake instead or if this is an loose interpretation of tres leches because it has zero leches! The cake has none of the signature moisture from the leches, just basic yellow cake. The whipped topping tasted like cool whip, which could be ok but for a $10 slice I expected it to be a homemade whip, slightly more effort but makes a major difference in the end. The one positive is that it had nice presentation, but presentation doesn’t pull much weight if the flavor isn’t there
All in all, the items made me regret spending the money on them. I was craving tres leches but will stick to what I know. D’cuban located in Marietta food market is top notch with their tres leches. Or even the tres leches from Costco. I recommend the owners check it out and make adjustments to the ‘tres leches’ cake to bring it closer...
