Let me start off with the normal Outback is perfect. This one, however, had a few hiccups. It was my wife's birthday. She ordered the salmon, and as you see, I didn't take a picture of it. That's because they brought her a tiny little slither of fish, and it was so pitiful, I actually felt bad about taking the picture. I had the wedge and fried mushrooms. Wasn't bad, it actually was very good. But it was just a salad and some fried mushrooms. And it wasn't even a big salad. So let's get to the hiccups. We ran into some friends that were on the other side of the restaurant. I left the booth to go and say, Hey When I came back, they had taken the booster seat that my child was sitting in and I even left my keys on the table so they would know that I hadn't left. After that, we went ahead and ordered. They brought my mushrooms out first after I asked them to bring it out with everything. Then they realized that they brought it out by itself and not with the salad. So then they brought me a salad, and it was a side salad that I did take a picture of the side salad and the wedge salad. It's the same salad, just broken down differently. The mushrooms are actually kinda small for fried mushrooms. Butt back to the salads so they brought me a side salad first realized it wasn't the correct salad, then, after I had touched it, taking it back. Then they brought me out another small salad. Now, for my son, we ordered broccoli, that was supposed to be steamed super soft after we asked specifically for that. It came out normal to add context, it's a baby soft thing apply, we wanted to order mashed potatoes for him, but they said they were out. So we ordered the broccoli instead of the potatoes. Then my wife ordered the salmon and since we were out of potatoes, she decided to get the French Onion Soup and the rice. Now, when her food came out the French Onion Soup, it was so hot. She couldn't eat it. When they brought out her salmon That was tiny and pitiful (Should we call it the minnow), they forgot the rice. Just for our waitress to come and tell us. Oh, yeah, we did forget the rice because we don't have any, but we have potatoes to which we kind of scratch our headlight. Okay, this is 8 o'clock at night. How you get potatoes at 8 o'clock at night, right before the restaurant closes it, whatever time. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah enough of the hiccups i will say the restaurant was clean and waitress made sure that we were not thirsty, continuously checking on us and even brought an extra thing of bread so our baby could have...
Read moreThis was a mixed bag, but a decent mixed bag thats full of a bunch and I mean a BUNCH of good stuff and one underwhelming not so great thing.
To start, I really wanna emphasize how nice the atmosphere is. It's dark with the only bright lights being above the tables. I actually much prefer this because I tend to enjoy my food when more when I don't have someone staring me down from across the room. The service was super nice and my waitress was very patient and polite.
As for the food, I got this three course meal deal, a side appetizers, an entre with a side, and a dessert, which I highly recommend for the time I'm writing this review as it's less than $20. First was the appetizers. We started out with some fried shrimp which was pretty phenomenal. It was crunchy on the outside and...shrimpy on the inside. Tasted very fresh. I ordered some baked potato soup which came with my deal and was also amazing. The potato chunks weren't huge but finely chopped and it tasted so good with the bread that was free.
The entry was...not my favorite. I ordered a sirloin with fries and I don't know if I'm simply not a fan of sirloin but it wasn't my favorite. My sister ordered a burger and I wish I got that because hers was so good. And the fries were a let down after hearing about the blooming onion for so long I thought the plain fries would be great but instead they're plain steak fries. Not even a special seasoning or anything. Still, I shared some of my friends mac and cheese and mixed it with my steak and that honestly saved it.
Finally the desert which only had cheesecake yet I surprisingly loved. I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake but it tasted so good with the chocolate dip I think its called.
I've been saying this a lot since I guess I've been on a good roll lately with restaurants but I highly recommend Outback. As someone whose only experience with this place was that one family guy cutaway, it was surprisingly accurate just how much food they give you at a low price, and good food at that! Just try to get a t-bone or any other steak with a bit more fat in it (unless you're on a diet or really want a sirloin for...

Tonight's "Lobster" of Lobster and 4 ounce Sirloin: Being Aussie and all in their advertising, we expected a Main Lobster for the price. I guess the Aussie term for a large Crawfish is, Tiny Rock Tail Lobster, just like what Kroger has for $6.00 each. Lobster is a salt water crustacean. I have NEVER had anyone add Salt to my Lobster. Those 2 Small bites choked, Plus I have virus induced heart failure. Should have had No Salt or a warning. I always order "No Salt" and did not expect salted Lobster. Coconut Shrimp: Very Over Priced. They used to be like Tiger Shrimp rolled just in Coconut and a 4 ounce container of Good Orange Marmalade. Tonight I received what appears to be medium Shrimp (probably farmed) in a Mass of oil holding batter and some coconut. They looked, smelled and tasted like the fryer oil was old and or dirty and they were very overcooked. The little shot cap of What they called an orange Marmalade did not taste or look like it to me. The complimentary Pumpernickel Bread is now Very small. My wife ate: The Loaded Baked Potato could have been nice but it had only almost a teaspoon of sour cream, about 4 clips of the green onion tops, 3 flakes of cheese, no butter, and 1/4 teaspoon or less of bacon bits. The green beans were good. She ordered the 4oz Sirloin medium well. It was correct and very tender. We usually only eat steaks we prepare which are Ribeye or Porter House brined in Jack and Coke and NEVER with Salt. Mine, medium rare. Tonight the food at Outback was a bigger disappointment than when we stopped going 15 years ago. Total bill: $41.32 plus a very earned $10 tip. The couple next to us had ordered the onion thing. They were always greasy. We noticed they took a couple of bites and pushed it to the side near us. I wanted so bad to ask if I could take a picture of the dish. You could see it was overcooked and super greasy. If alive We will go back again in another 15 years. Very...
