Today I made a return at this location for an in store pickup order. Unfortunately after today’s events it’ll be my last day shopping at World Market. The table that I was returning was missing screws, I was met with a very disgruntled worker, Nancy, a heavyset caucasian women, who refused the return.
I asked if I could leave my item inside the store while I figure things out, she refused. After trying to get a dolly to take the items out of my car, she ran in front of me, blocking the dolly being extremely defensive. At this point, I felt unsafe and asked to speak with the manager on duty. I was met with a manager (I did not get her name, Hispanic women) who was understanding, yet educated me on the protocol of the store. She said that she would be able to order the missing parts. An option I was not given to by the associate, Nancy.
The prior escalation by the associate was completely unnecessary and showed her true character, or lack thereof, and reflects poor commitment to customer service/satisfaction for the company.
Luckily, I was able to get the situation rectified by the manager. As well as being compensated by customer service after filling a complaint on this associate with corporate. I typically shop at the location in Buckhead, but was in the area. I would avoid this...
Read moreThis store is a nightmare. Had a hell of a time returning an online/store pickup order due to the cashier needing a manager to come back and forth like 6 times. The cashier was also super dry and kept acting like I was a burden. When I first got up to the cash register I asked her if she could look up my order with the order number and receipt I had pulled up on my account online. She said no, I needed the email. I said “what if I have deleted the email?” The manager said what I had presented was fine.
Then when I went to make a purchase for other items, I wasn’t able to use a digital card to make my purchase. I had already been there forever dealing with this return and the situation was holding up an already long line.
I ended up having to set aside multiple items because I was told I couldn’t use a card unless I had it with me. I said I would just buy the items online but I needed to buy something that my mom wanted.
The cashier rang it up and it was $3 more on the register than what had been printed on the tag. By this time I was fed up with the cashier and the whole situation and left in tears with my item that I overpaid for. I will not be back and will be doing all my purchasing online from here on out....
Read moreI have passed by World Market a thousand times and never really paid it any attention. On a recent trip to find furniture and some stores that are next to this store, I popped in to buy a shirt. Their furniture selection is AMAZING! But furniture is the least of why I am writing this review. I'm writing this review because the store manager, George and his staff are simply amazing. And they are CONSISTENTLY amazing. I've been back on at least 4 occasions in as many weeks, as I recently moved and needed a lot. It didn't matter what time it was, what day it was or who was on staff that day, everyone went out of their way to help me, answer my zillion questions and the store was clean, well stocked and simply fun to be in. My husband (who never shops and could care less about these kinds of things) left the store after our first visit and said "that's my new favorite place to shop".
