Before I share my experience I want to say the pizza here is delicious!! My boyfriend and I have been coming here at least once a week ever since we discovered it, so nothing at all wrong with the quality of their pizza. Today 02/03/24 We ordered our favorite half classic half Bianca, but today we found a bit of bacon on one side. We had already ate a couple slices before noticing it, but I do not eat bacon due to my religion so I didn’t feel comfortable continuing to eat incase there was more bacon on it. We didn’t think it would be a big deal to have it remade especially because there was clearly cross contamination, no part of me thought the employees wouldn’t be understanding. The first Lady we spoke to was kind and said it was okay to have it remade, but my boyfriend forgot to ask for a clean cut so I had him call again. I just wanted to be more cautious for it not to happen again. He calls and a guy answers the phone. This man is completely defensive saying he made the pizza himself and there was no bacon. My boyfriend explains to him that it was most likely a mistake but there WAS bacon on it. The man on the phone for some reason decides to argue with my boyfriend insisting there was no bacon on it, giving him attitude and sounded angry. He talked to us in such a disrespectful way for absolutely no reason, he said he couldn’t give us a refund on the pizza because we had said we already ate a couple slices so my boyfriend tells him we didn’t want a refund just wanted a remake. I go pick up the remake and I take the bacon with me to show to the manager. When I get there I was very surprised to learn this man was actually the manager of this restaurant. I showed him the bacon, he did not apologize he said “it must of got on there by mistake” which we already knew it was a mistake he was the only one that made it a big deal. I REMIND him that him being a manger the way he spoke to us was unacceptable and all he did was nod so he obviously knew he was in the wrong. I personally did not feel comfortable to eat the pizza after hearing the way he spoke on the phone I felt he could have done something to our pizza just to be petty towards us so I told him I needed a refund instead. Again he did not apologize he just gave me my refund. I asked for his name and he said his name is Jose but he was hesitant to give it to me so I don’t know if it was even his real name. I feel all of this could have been avoided but clearly Jose felt the confrontation was a better option. To be a manager talking to guest that way is unacceptable. I want to emphasize he never even apologized for his actions. I hope the owner is able to see this and reevaluate their management because I really do like the pizza here and would hate to have to deal with Jose again to make me not ever want to come here again. Also, I did not make the bacon a big deal because I am very understanding, but the fact our pizza had bacon shows that Jose was being unsanitary using a dirty knife to cut our pizza. Read moreI purposely called first to find out if they could make me a Detroit with no cheese because I can’t eat cheese When the girl came back to the phone I was told that was not a problem. So we went there and ordered 2 Detroit pies and a traditional one. The specific one I ordered came out with cheese on it and no sauce. I told the waitress that the pizza had cheese on it and I couldn’t eat it. She told us that the cook/owner said that the Detroit pizza couldn’t be made without cheese??? after he already sent it out to me with the cheese on it knowing that I can’t eat cheese. There is something wrong with this guy. He tried to force me to eat the cheese pizza and then got aggravated saying that that’s the way they do it. He said “No one in the world makes pizza with just sauce on it” - it can’t be done. Every restaurant can and does except for him. I could see his reviews how people know he’s an arrogant person and he tried to put the blame on the young waitress. He has no customer service skills and then he had the nerve to tell us to leave just because I said I can’t eat cheese and He was rude and doesn’t know how to handle customers and that’s why he hardly has any. He also was yelling at us in front of other customers. There was four witnesses to see this. He shouldn’t be in business where he has to be in front of people. And the owner shouldn’t bother answering this post because he was completely wrong but won’t admit it. you can’t just admit that you’re wrong on every post that somebody gave you that you were wrong you fought them against it. You couldn’t just be a man and admit it. The most was when I said whoever doesn’t know how to put sauce on a pizza doesn’t know how to cook. You got insulted cause you were looking right at me and then you tried to put it on that poor girl. Yes, you need to show the video but you need to show it from the beginning when I said several times, and my wife said several times, that I cannot eat cheese but yet you told the girl to give it to me anyway, because that’s what she said you told her to tell us. No customer service.I should have looked at the reviews before we came here to support this “family owned business”.. alot of the same horrible treatment that others customers have experienced here. Employees started off with an attitude from the gate! Acted like we were bothering them from the start! Paid for our meal only to be told we can’t eat here after my kids and wife sat down at the table. The employee told us we were rude because we questioned why we couldn’t “dine in.” I explained to the employee that’s ridiculous and stupid, why wouldn’t they allow my children, wife and I to eat after we just paid $80.00 for pizza. The employee proceeded to explain we must say “please” in-order to sit down because WE are RUDE… what?! What type of establishment is this?
