Trudy's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Lacey

This store isn't starting their holiday sale until Jan 2nd instead of the day after Christmas. This meant (12.26.2021) after several inches of snow fell, many of us drove to the store for the usual hallmark Christmas sale but instead found a sign on the door saying no sale until after the New Year. I drafted this post one year ago but never posted it (originally with a lot of poor language choices as I had just seen many accidents on my way) and just came back to it because I am researching other Hallmark stores to go to this year. I will be driving to Chehalis this year. I also did not shop at this store for my before Christmas purchases this year as I had in the past, instead opting for Hallmark online, which was fantastic! Quick shipping, better prices than this store (from what I remember), and the gifts I purchased I could send directly to my family and friends. UPDATE 10-1-2021: This store was sold this fall to new owners. Gone are the Vera Bradley designer handbags, the cute Snoopy and Peanuts merchandise, the Mickey Mouse stationery, and the Jim Shore collectibles. Now they have an eclectic mix of yuppie collectibles, candles, and soap. No more wind chimes either. :( There is really nothing worth shopping for here anymore. They basically removed all the Hallmark merchandise except for the cards. :0

ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 STARS): It's so hard to find a Hallmark store anymore. This is a cute little Hallmark store with the usual stuff (Jim Shore collectibles, Vera Bradley, Hallmark Christmas ornaments, etc.) It's conveniently located near Target and Petsmart and the store doesn't have any off-putting scents (like candles, etc.). It's a nice and awesome place to find just about anything you want or need to treat yourself or someone else to a nice gift. Usually, it takes me a while because I have to look at everything. They have very nice things for friends, family, babies, and even your furbabies. The staff are friendly, polite, and helpful in searching for what you're looking for.
