This is going to be long, I apologize in advance. We have came to the wilderness twice, sometimes three times, a year since my son was a baby and he is now 7. We haven’t ever had a bad experience. Until this trip, long story short - I booked on Groupon and I didn’t know the Stone Hill didn’t have a balcony for 6 people, the rooms were so small, less TVs, had to pay extra for two other guests over 4 people, etc etc.. so to say I was aggravated was an understatement, my son sees this store Saturday night and of course we have to go in. It was expensive but it’s the experience, right? Well we ride the bus from river lodge to stone hill and on our way off the bus into the lobby the bag just rips and candy goes EVERYWHERE. It was now 10:03 and my son was so upset. I called and left a voicemail because they were closed, but it wasn’t returned. I didn’t go Sunday because we had a day planned already and tbh I didn’t want to hurt my sons feelings. His goggles that we bought from the gift store beside the arcade broke several times, they were like dry rotted, and the girl wouldn’t exchange them, so I didn’t want to have the same thing happen. Anyways, we come today (our last day) to swim inside and my son asked if we could stop, I had the remains of the ripped bag and receipt for proof. Miss Nadine seriously restored our faith in the entire wilderness resort. Her kindness and willingness to help made our entire afternoon and possibly even trip. She replaced his candy, he was so so so sooo happy and honestly so was I. It was like we weren’t just a $$$ figure walking around, the money that we spent already was truly cared about. She set the mood for our trip home, my son is in the car happy instead of sad. Nadine mentioned her son graduated 8th grade today, it was just so personable. Her connection with customers is unexplainable! She was very personable with the two ladies in front of me as well. She made me feel like she cared and I can’t appreciate that enough! It’s safe to say we will absolutely be back to the wilderness (never booking through Groupon again lol) Thank you Candy Cabin and Especially...
Read moreAbsolutely overpriced and nothing special. We did the 13.99lb gummy candy bag. Got two chocolate covered strawberries, a chocolate covered english toffee, a white chocolate fudge cookie dough, two rock candy suckers, and two gator sucker toy things. Came out to $66. The chocolate covered strawberry were small, cold and sour. Nothing amazing about the toffee and the fudge was just white chocolate with chunks of cookie dough in it. The cookie dough tasted weird and dry. The gummy was ok except the shark gummies they had a weird perfume after taste and the taffy...
Read moreWe stopped here a couple times on our stay! Lots of confections to choose from. We tried mostly items from the chocolate case. All were good. My husband absolutely loved the chocolate dipped cheesecake. We thought the pricing was very fair as far as a sweet shop goes. We didn’t think that the price was jacked up by a “resort tax” at all. It’s very good chocolate, and you pay what it’s worth for that. One of our family members even tried the chocolate covered jalapeño - and they said it was good! Guess they can’t make anything that isn’t...
