I can be a bit of a Ebenezer Scrooge when it comes to spending money for a hotel room. I called several hotels in the Dells area looking for a room with a discounted weekly rate but did not have success. Because this is a high tourist area the prices were high, " A poor excuse for picking a mans pocket"
So I decided to go to a campground instead and on my way to the campground I saw the big and friendly looking Dell Creek Motel Sign and on a whim decided to stop and take a look.
I went up to to the front office and the owner greeted me quickly and was very friendly. The vibes were good from the start. The hotel has a heated pool and sun bathing area. A big plus. The hotel is well landscaped and lit up at night with colored lights I was given a discounted rate for a week that I was very pleased with and of course I took the room. I ended up staying for several weeks.
The rooms are excellent, way above average. They are not cheap looking rooms. The room had the feel of a mini luxury mountain cabin. Very comfortable bedding, good pillows, strong internet signal, the room had a nice flat screen, cable tv, fridge and micro wave. Good AC units. The furniture and dressers were of very good quality. The shower is bigger than one would expect. Another plus. A safe and secure parking area. Well lit up at night. Everything in order
I highly recommend the Dell Creek Motel for lone travelers like myself or for couples or families. If I had to describe the hotel in 2 words, I would say,...
Read moreI recently visited Wisconsin Dells and needed an affordable place for my wife and kid to spend a few nights. I am so fortunate I found Dell Creek Motel, as it was exactly what I was looking for. The rooms were very clean and was in great condition (looks like they may have had a remodel and the walls, appliances, a/c unit, and bathroom looked new). Even the TV was a new model, was able to hook my laptop to it and use it as a second monitor while I worked. The Owner was very personable and friendly, and his staff was very attentive to our needs and requests, always treating my requests as though they were their top priorities. The landscaping was very inviting and neat, made it very comfortable to sit out and enjoy the pleasant weather. I really liked that they a have nice sized open playground area and it is equipped with brick bbq pits, that were exceptionally clean, this gave my kid something to do while I grilled out. (The owner even provided charcoal, lighter fluid and utensils to everyone cooking outside) The pool was very clean and the water was even heated (Yay...) They even provided floating tubes (my kid loved floating on them). There were other families there and everyone was pleasant to us. The beds were very comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxing, overall this was a great stay, and the price was the best that I found, would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great value...
Read moreStayed here last summer while on vacation. The room I stayed in was clean and I had no issues whatsoever. Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to most other hotels in the area in the summer season. The manager (owner?) was friendly and helpful. He even offered guests free cans of pop, which I appreciated. This is a fairly small motel so there is no breakfast on the site, but there are several options within walking distance. There was no housekeeping or cleaning done to my room during my week-long stay, which may bother some people. I didn't mind however, as I kept the room clean and didn't really need anything. Had anything needed attention I'm sure it would have been taken care of if I spoke up. Overall I would recommend this place for anyone on a budget looking for a hotel/motel in the area, it's close to everything.
Update 6/23: I just stayed here again and had the same positive experience. The owner is very accommodating and eager to please. This place is ideal for anyone looking for an affordable stay in the area. ( I wanted to leave a separate review but could only...
