We got a three room suite with a kitchen and cooked all our food. They include all the dishes and utensils with the kitchen. Even had a dishwasher and full size refrigerator. This is way better than eating at the resort restaurants. From what we saw the lines were very long at mealtime and from what we heard from a few other families we met, the food was awful. The waterpark accommodations were less than adequate. The lack of tables and chairs at any of the three parks was ridiculous. They had lockers but they were also full. We ended up piling our stuff in a corner until a single chair along the wall was available to pile our stuff on. Typical for anything in the dells its full of Chicago people and their big city attitudes so its just another thing to have to deal with. My kids and I did enjoy the slides for the most part. Be wary of the ride height signs. None of them had the line at 48 inches. My daughter is 48.5 and on a few signs she was an inch short! Best time to go is mid week to get the best deal and enjoy the park without being over crowded. At times the lines were really long. Definitely bring your walking shoes because it's a hike to get to any of the parks from your room. The staff is really friendly and professional. Our rooms were really clean and the kitchen was...
Read moreThe park itself is great! Of the indoor ones at the Wilderness- this one had a good mix of kid sized slides that they can go down on their own! The other park just has one purple one/ which is still great! The ONLY thing I would say isn't great is that no one enforced that parents are actually with their children or even in line of sight. Had toooo many instances where kids were trampling smaller ones, running, hitting, talking with fowl language, jumping into the hot tubs, and just overall being wild and disrespectful. It states on the website that you are expected to be with your kids at all times but there were unattended kids all over. Idk if this is because they now have the swim up bar pools that are adults only or if none of the lifeguards are handling this... I would say it's a step down from what it's been in the past and that issue being worked on would bring it back up to being a great family...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this part of the resort and definitely my son's favorite! Several slides on the indoor park. Body slides, tube slides and a family slide. My son can be kind of a scardy cat and he had no problem on any of them. Never hurts to check the weight limits on the signs before heading up as I did see one guy get all the way up to the top just to get weighed and told he was too big. Lines got a bit long at times but staff keeps them moving pretty good. Entrance to the water park is free with a park stay.
As for the other attractions inside wild west we really liked the rope coast and black light mini golf. There's a swim up bar in the back corner that we never even noticed until our last day but it...
