Our group had the most disappointing experience while getting food at the Kodiak Kanteen within the Klondike Kavern waterpark. (Situation happened 6/2/23 around 12pm) We were excited to quickly grab some food before enjoying the rest of the time in the water. We walked in and we were not greeted or even acknowledged until we were waiting at the checkout for a few minutes. Instantly we were met with the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. The lady did not talk to us and kept speaking under her breath while ringing our group up. We went to pay and she rudely mentioned how they aren’t taking card right now not even offering any other options to pay. Our group was talking about how we could find an ATM really quick and the lady still didn’t say anything or direct us. We asked if she could use the bands to charge the card on file for the resort and she got frustrated with us, rolled her eyes, and said we could do that. We were staying at The Wilderness on The Lake and didn’t think it would make any difference since she didn’t ask. Scanned my band and it didn’t go through. Was met with “are you even staying at the resort?”. Informed her where we were staying and the lady threw her hands up and asked the other worker to come over. This was a reoccurring experience as it seemed like the lady didn’t know what she was doing or just didn’t care enough to do her job. A very disappointing experience for sure and ruined the mood. As a group of 20+ year olds we could handle the blatant rudeness and lack of concern, however I cannot imagine if it was my family this lady was treating that way. It is very disappointing the amount of money we have spent at this resort with food and lodging during our week long trip to be greeted with this kind of service. Each person in our group comes from a background of 4+ years of working in customer service. We understand people get overwhelmed, flustered, and are just having a bad day. However, none of those are good reasons for the absolutely awful service we were met with today. I would be happy to discuss this situation further if anyone would like to reach out! Side note: the Waterpark itself has been great! Highly recommend for a...
Read moreWhoever is running this place clearly doesn’t have a clue. The tubes for one of the slides get snatched up by guests, which wouldn’t be a problem if managed properly. But people go down the slide, keep the tube they didn’t pay for, and head right back up while 20 others wait. Staff says to find a tube on the lazy river, but those are all taken too. I paid to watch people hoard tubes while my family gets stuck in line and skipped repeatedly. Great Christmas experience. Maybe require guests to return tubes after each ride so everyone can actually...
Read moreFive star is based on the 7+ waterpark we have gone to. Our 7 an 9 year old like this park, which is one of the 4 indoor Waterparks at the wilderness. Our family have visited many waterparks, but we keep returning to the wilderness multiple times. Our kids love the huge wave pool the most. We also did play laser tag, which the kids wanted to keep playing. The Fun pass is highly recommended if your staying a few nights. The new attraction take flight is ok, but the kids did enjoy. Food and drinks here like most resorts are expensive. Pop 4$...
