We stopped in Ulta to pick up a few items. We spent 20 minutes trying to find someone to help. When we finally spotted someone she was texting on her phone and very frustrated that I was needing assistance. It took her 5 minutes to login to her app to look online for the product I was looking for. She told me it is not in stock. I asked if she could please get a sample to take with me as other Ulta stores have given me different colored samples in the past. She told me no that they do not do that. Although I was disappointed I thanked her for her time and went to the check out. Jayna was the person to check me out, I asked her if it was policy that they could not give a sample, she said no that she can give me one. I waited while she retrieved the sample. When Jayna came back to the checkout she proceeded to berate me in front of other costumers and tell me I was already told I could not have a sample. I reminded her that I asked her if it was policy that they did not give samples and that she stated that they could. She then told me her associate said I was rude. I told her I was not rude, that I simply asked a question. I asked for the associates name, she asked me why I wanted it. I told her I would be writing a review. She said she would not give it to me. I said ok, can you please get me a manager. Janyna then told me she is the manager. I have been in this Ulta many times. I have never had a great experience. Read moreWas looking to get an item in a locked box. I approached Amanda who seems to be the floor advisor and ask for help. instead of taking a few moments to help she directed us to someone else. That someone else didn’t acknowledge me or my lady as she was talking to another co-worker. That was frustrating. What was more frustrating is the lady who had been working at the register (there was a line of people trying to check out) helping to make the store money had to take time from doing that to help us. To me it’s rude no matter the position. Amanda should have just helped us… I’ve been looking around and it seems the managers don’t really help out. The only ones doing good work are the ones who aren’t apart of management. 👎🏻

That's unethical and unprofessional if you ask me, as I worked in retail, but that's alright I guess; that didn't bother me as much. My main issue was BRENDA. We asked her help to get a perfume. She was annoyed when we she had to help us and responded to us harshly. We didn't mind at first so we decided to ignore the situation. However, when I went to the cash register, BRENDA assisted me unfortunately. That was the main issue.
