Based off of the service I received on Sunday, I would not plan on stopping in here again and will opt for something else next time we stay at Great Wolf Lodge. Our primary reason for stopping here was just because it was too cold out and we didn't want to take our toddlers out if we didn't need to.
We were seated about 8:25pm and the restaurant wasn't packed at all, there was probably about 6 tables sat ranging of parties 4-6 and 2 servers working, at least half of these tables already were eating and had drinks so really they just required check-ins at that point. While we waited a party of 3 was sat next to us in a different servers rotation and they were helped quickly, but our server chose to not acknowledge us for 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes she made multiple stops to the table she was helping behind us - which at any point she could have just quickly stopped by to introduce herself and told us she'd be back momentarily for our order but she did not. When she did finally come by us, she was stiff as a board and barely mumbled anything out. She didn't offer any specials, didn't ask what sides I preferred for my kids meals. She basically wrote down our order and was off. We waited another 15 minutes after this to finally get our drinks, my kids virgin pina colada and strawberry freeze had melted whip cream from how long they'd been sitting and she completely forgot my drink. She did offer my partner a water with his mojito, but she didn't even get that right..
The food was actually not so bad though. We started with a chicken quesadilla which was pretty good, it could have used a little more cheese but still we enjoyed it. The fruit on the kids plate was fresh and my daughter enjoyed her mac n cheese, son enjoyed his spaghetti (I did try his spaghetti and I would have even enjoyed that). My salad was a generous portion size too, loaded up with bacon and cheese. So no complaints on that. We would have liked to try a dessert as we were celebrating my partners birthday, but with how long the service was taken we decided to go to the shop next door which also had...
Read moreI want to take a moment to sincerely thank Ricardo and Paula for their outstanding service at Lodge Wood Fired Grill. From the moment I arrived, their warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I started my evening with a couple of drinks, including a Bloody Mary, which was expertly crafted and absolutely delicious—truly one of the best I’ve ever had.
But what truly stood out was the incredible meal I enjoyed. I had the pleasure of trying their steak, and I can honestly say it was the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The quality, flavor, and perfectly cooked presentation made it an unforgettable dining experience. It’s clear that they take pride in what they do, and it really shows in the food and service they provide.
Throughout my visit, Ricardo and Paula were attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure that every detail was taken care of and that I felt valued as a guest. Their dedication to providing excellent service truly enhanced my experience at Lodge Wood Fired Grill.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The combination of fantastic food, great drinks, and exceptional service makes this place stand out. I highly recommend Lodge Wood Fired Grill to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Thanks again to Ricardo and Paula for making my visit so memorable. You’re doing an excellent job, and I look forward to...
Read moreI ordered the Power Greens salad. Top ingredients are kale and arugula with pesto vinaigrette. My salad had no kale, no arugula, and no pesto. Just spring greens and a weird dressing. The other ingredients were correct, so I know it was meant to be the correct salad. But there were also added ingredients that weren't listed in any of the salads. It really just felt like a "throw in whatever you have left" kind of salad. I love arugula, so I was really disappointed.
We had some allergies in our group, and when we asked about a few ingredients it was clear they didn't really know. They brought out the cook and he was vague and didn't inspire confidence in his answers. Pretty sure he was wrong about one of the dishes because today someone is suffering... I suppose you can't expect them to know ingredients if it's just reheated food, but still, go read the labels for us.
The kid's grilled cheese was definitely reheated and really gross looking. The plate was so hot that the melons on it were really warm and the carrots tasted like dishwasher cleaner.
2 people got a quinoa bowl they liked better and the potato chip brisket nachos looked better.
Our server was very nice, but...
