ATTENTION be careful!!! This is the most terrible store that exists among all that I have visited in my life. There are Nazis working there. Who can kick you out for looking like an immigrant. because the employees at that Costco store didn't like you. do not visit if you do not want to face humiliation of your honor and your psychological state. I will try to explain to you everything that happened to me. it was in October. I decided to go in and buy some groceries for the house. since the wife is busy and feeding the child. I needed to buy groceries and diapers. Upon entering, I discovered that I had forgotten my wallet and Costco card in the car and had to go back to get my wallet. Then I took my wallet and presented my card at the entrance and proceeded further. About 5 minutes later I was stalked by an inappropriate Costco store employee. and with great aggression attacked me with a claim. telling me I don't have a Costco card and need to leave the store. I said that I showed this to the employee who was standing at the entrance. it was an elderly woman. I showed this employee my Costco card too. I showed that I have this card. and explained that the employee may not have noticed this, but now you see that I have a card with my photo on it. but this employee did not want to listen and told me that she was told on the radio that I entered the store without a Costco card. but the store employee didn’t want to listen to me. and the video shows how she persistently, obscenely, disrespectfully, humiliatingly kicked me out of the store by my collar, accompanied by a stranger who was not wearing the uniform they wear at Costco. Without explaining the situation, she kicked me out of the store. publicly humiliated me. All the visitors looked at me. someone even filmed it on their phone camera. And some other woman, unknown, insulted me. I felt so uncomfortable and humiliated by this situation. And I headed towards the exit. And this employee accompanied me as if I had committed a crime. the staff at that moment laughed at me. But I'll tell you even worse than what happened next. Upon arriving home, I decided to call the management of this store. and to my complaint. The store manager answered me. He said. she was right and did everything as she saw fit. She has the right to kick out whoever she wants. Then I contacted Costco, the highest of all Costcos. There they told me that I had no right to film this situation on my phone. that's all. They didn't apologize to me, they just decided that this is how people should be treated. MY ADVICE DO NOT VISIT A COSTCO STORE. They don't consider you as people there. you have no rights. you might get kicked out. insult. humiliate. they don't respect you there. You are just a wallet for them. and the company administration will answer you that you did not have the right to film this situation. This is the worst shopping experience of my entire life. If anyone wants, they can watch a video showing how an employee of this Costco store behaved. I can also provide video footage when the store administration called me and did nothing except say that I do not have the right to film this situation. I was depressed. I went to the doctor. then a psychotherapist worked with me. She told me I had PTSD. I completed a course of treatment. Now I can explain everything to you. May God grant that no one ends up in the same situation that I found myself in at Costco. America is not what it used to be, and human rights are not as protected as they once were. God bless America. and deliver us from Nazism. From humiliation. And never visit a COSTCO store if your well-being is important to you!!! Unfortunately, the video cannot be uploaded here. You can follow the link and see everything with your own...
Read morePeople always gloated about the fantastic return policy at cost co. Been a member for more than 4 years spending a decent amount of money over the years. Never once have I attempted to return or exchange anything during my membership. The first and only time I attempted to return a package of electric toothbrushes that were purchased last year and even had proof of purchase online to show. I was denied because I didn’t have a small cheap travel plastic case with it. I had all plugs and chargers and toothbrushes and replacement brushes except for a dollar plastic travel case from the box. I was denied return. Literally the only time I ever attempted to return a defective item and turned away with denial of return or credit. After…. I bought a bottle of vitamins and checked out. In the 15 minutes of waiting in self check out line which you would assume would be fast…… it wasn’t. I was again demanded to show my cost co membership card and even asked to flip it over to show my photo on the card. Did they need to see a retina scan too ? This is even after I already showed the card to enter the store. I decided at this point that after years I didn’t even want to continue the membership because of the annoyance and disrespect so I walked to membership services desk to say I simply want to cancel the card due to my experiences. I was very friendly even with this inconvenience. I was then told since I bought one item prior to approaching the counter I was denied being allowed to cancel the membership. huh !!? I walked away laughing due to the tone deafness of a customer who never complained or ever tried to return an item or even leading me to cancel my membership. I said out loud “maybe this is why people are unsatisfied forcing to cancel their membership “. And then even being denied to cancel my membership that day! Cost co used to be known ten times better than Sam’s and epitomized superb customer service. Not anymore ! As always business gets too big for their britches and start losing their original quality and customer service. I’ll be calling customer service tomorrow to cancel and tell them why. It’s a shame because for more than a decade my family and I always respected this company but I think the well paid employees now take their jobs for granted and put the customers second or even last! To be fair, it’s the Chicago clybourn location that I’ve heard from friends and co workers that always seem to have problems and issues with customer service and snappy attitude and that nasty “ look”, you all know what I’m talking about. The Niles and Glenview locations are better in professionalism. Realize that the company won’t care that I am quitting my membership but if this Chicago location keeps up their rudeness and lack of respect for a customer maybe the company at regional or corporate will catch on that this Chicago clyborne location is no good. Remember that most people don’t complain and just quit membership or not renew or stop shopping there immediately. Only a small percentage of those people express why like...

Update: I really wish I could say something positive about the only Costco in the city. And I shouldn't have to spend more time going to another Costco because of another very negative experience. I understand times are rough, there's a lot of tension in the air from many factors, but the disrespect was appalling. I believe we all agree it can be difficult to hear when we are all wearing masks. I was trying to clarify what cashier Diana was saying. Why? She kept saying card to a explain what sounded like a new policy. I wanted to know which card she meant, if the membership card or the payment card. So I asked her which card she meant and her reaction was ridiculous. It was hard to understand her because she began talking fast. She kept saying "Jesus Christ" and that she didn't care if she was rude because it didn't matter- she was tired of people's rudeness. At that point I could clearly see this is a pent up personal issue. Customers are probably just reacting accordingly to her rudeness. I'm a cashier and I am always met with wonderful people. All I wanted was to clarify what she was saying and I don't believe any of us should be met with that kind of reaction. Learn to respond. Or step away if you really are having a bad day. Self-reflect.
After moving back to Chicago from a suburb, this location has proven to be a major disappointment on many different levels. From the attendants at the gas station, to the lack employees on the floor to ask questions to, they always seem to be distracted and highly disgruntled. If the employee can't provide decent customer service then I'm not sure I understand why they are even there. There's no reason I should be paying for their bitterness. Even at the customer service desk, I had an employee raise his voice at me and get completely bent out of shape after I asked him to read a note on the computer so that he could see the context of the topic I was there to discuss. Apparently that was too much for him. Instead, I did have a pleasant experience with the woman who came to the rescue and who had to apologize multiple times for the other employee's behavior. I did receive a call from the manager of the membership department, who did apologize but eh, nothing was done to make it right with me, the customer. There are quite a bit of inconsistecies through out the store and that makes me uncomfortable shopping there. I had no issues before at the other locations I visited on a regular basis for many years. But unfortunately for me, and good for their store, I find myself forced to visit such location because of...
